Dancing with the Stars had a shocking elimination this week that disappointed many fans!
This week, for the first time this season, the couples had to perform two dances. First, a choreographed number with their partner and then later a dance relay with two other groups.
Following the performances, it was ultimately Chrishell Stause and her partner Gleb Savechecnko alongside Skai Jackson and pro partner Alan Bersten who landed in the bottom two. This came as a surprise to fans and the judges since both contestants had not previously been in jeopardy.
“I’m stunned, I’m shocked, so I just have to get over that for a minute,” admitted Carrie Ann Inaba after Chrishell and Skai’s names were announced in the bottom two. “Chrishell, you’ve been growing slowly and steadily and I’m so proud of that. Every week, I see a little bit of growth. But Skai, you’ve gone up and down and you’ve handled it like a boss, so Skai and Alan I’m saving you.”
When it was Bruno Tonioli’s turn to make a decision, he admitted “I love you both so much,” but also opted to save Jackson. Derek Hough agreed with his fellow judge’s decisions and said he too would save Skai Jackson, which ultimately led to Chrishell Stause being sent home.
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
