In the post, Bindi stands with her new husband, Chandler Powell, with Crowe’s gift: a port jackson fig tree.

“Happy Birthday, @russellcrowe,” Bindi wrote on Instagram. “You’ll always be part of our family. Even though we can’t see you right now, we’re giving the beautiful fig you gifted us a hug and thinking of you.‬ ‪Hope your day is extraordinary.‬”

“Presented to Bindi and Chandler to commemorate their wedding,” read the note attached to the tree. “Love from, Russell Crowe and family.”

Crowe was originally on the couple’s 200 person guest list for their wedding that was set to take place on April 4, but their plans changed drastically after Australia made moves to limit gatherings of more than 5 people. Instead the two tied the knot on Wednesday, March 25 at the Australia Zoo which the Irwin family has run for decades.

“March 25th 2020 ❤️ We held a small ceremony and I married my best friend,” she captioned a photo of the newlyweds on their wedding day. “There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now. We’ve planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn’t have guests at our wedding.”

“This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however it’s lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos,” Bindi continued. “Right now we’re encouraging the world to hold onto hope and love, which will carry us forward during this profound time in history.”

Although their planned guests weren’t able to attend, Bindi has been sharing some big details from their big day, including that her brother Robert walked her down the aisle and she wore a dress inspired by her mother Terri’s own wedding gown. “I wanted something very similar because I’ve admired [my mom’s] dress since I was tiny,” Bindi shared with PEOPLE. “When I was about 12 years old, I put on mum’s wedding dress and it was a really, really special… it’s over 50 years old because it’s been in the family for that long.”
