7 Celebrities Who Say That Plastic Surgery Changed Their Lives

For some celebrities, getting a little nip and/or tuck can go a long way to helping to improve the old self-esteem, which may sound ludicrous to the average person. Most of us don’t have this option. When we feel badly about our appearances, we have to find cheaper ways of making ourselves feel better, but not celebrities. They can afford nose jobs, liposuction and breast augmentation. Many celebrities that have talked about their plastic surgery procedures have said that cosmetic surgery made them feel better. We’re not sure what to believe, so you can be the judge. Here are 7 celebrities who say that plastic surgery changed their lives for the better!

7. Farrah Abraham

Farrah Abraham has had a lot of work done. She’s had two boob jobs, a nose job, chin implants, cheek fillers and lip injections. She had her first boob job back in 2011 to “boost her confidence.” She went from an A cup to a C cup. “After having a baby, my boobs went away. It hurt my self-esteem,” she told UsWeekly. “I didn’t feel like I was woman enough anymore. I knew I could be happier.”

For Abraham, plastic surgery is a way of life. In May 2014, she told HuffPost Live that she was never satisfied with how she looked, which is why she had so much surgery. “I would just waste hours and hours and hours in front of the mirror, and it’s to the point where I would waste my whole day and get aggravated with how I look, so I wanted to get surgery, and I think there’s nothing wrong with that…because I didn’t mess up my features or my ethnicity or who I am,” she said.

6. Lisa Kudrow

Lisa Kudrow had a nose job when she was only 16-years-old and she claims that it changed her life for the better. “That was life altering,” she told The Saturday Evening Post. “I went from, in my mind, hideous, to not hideous. I did it the summer before going to a new high school. So there were plenty of people who wouldn’t know how hideous I looked before. That was a good, good, good change.”

The “Friends” actress made the decision to get the surgery at the end of junior high school. Her two closest friends had just dumped her. “That happened in seventh grade when we moved from sixth grade to a new school. So they knew some people, and I didn’t. Eventually they just got tired of me being a tag-along,” she said. “They said, ‘For your own good, you need to see what would happen if we weren’t here.’ It was really brutal. Very hard.”

5. Tori Spelling

Several months ago, UsWeekly reported that Tori Spelling was looking to have some cosmetic work done to lift her spirits. According to an inside source, she was still pretty upset about her husband Dean McDermott cheating on her with a random girl from Canada and needed a confidence boost. “She hit a rough patch with her self-esteem due to Dean’s cheating,” the insider said. “She doesn’t feel good about herself and wants to do something.” The reality TV star was reportedly interested in getting some new breast implants, as well as Botox fillers and a facelift to boost her confidence. Another source claimed that none of what the first source said is true and that Spelling was already feeling confident and was only looking to get new breast implants because of her current pair is expired and outdated.

Anyone who watches “True Tori” knows that Spelling is pretty insecure, so her wanting some plastic surgery to help her feel more confident doesn’t sound that far fetched.

4. Jillian Michaels

Jillian Michaels thinks that plastic surgery can be a good thing, as long as it doesn’t become an addiction. For her, it is all about moderation. “Not to say you should let your physicality define you, but there are some things that can make people feel really insecure,” she said. “So, if there is something you want to fix that allows you to feel a little bit more confident, I support it. I think it’s about [doing it for] the right reasons.”

When she was in middle school, she was picked on because of her looks. According to her, she weighed 175 pounds and had a nose “the size of a softball.” She decided to get the nose job to stop the bullying and to improve her confidence and it worked. “I had my nose done,” she said. “I felt much better about myself. Plastic surgery is a very personal decision.”

3. Kyle Richards

Kyle Richards got plastic surgery to boost her self-esteem. In 2012, she had liposuction to get rid of her love handles. According to her, having the procedure improved her confidence. “After having four kids, no matter what exercise I did, the love handles wouldn’t go away,” she told Life & Style magazine. “The surgery made me feel better!” That wasn’t the only procedure she had boosted her self-esteem. In 2006, she had a nose job, which made her feel less “self-conscious.” “My doctor said, ‘We’re going to do it so slightly, not even your mother will know!’” she said. “Plastic surgery gave me confidence.”

Kyle hasn’t had any other surgeries since her liposuction, but she does regularly get Botox. She makes sure not to overdo it though, which is why she can still move some parts of her face that other “House Wives” can’t. “See, look, I can move my eyebrows,” she joked. “This is a trick in Beverly Hills!”

2. Kylie Jenner

According Kim Kardashian, her little sister Kylie has always been insecure about her lips, which is why she decided to start getting temporary injections to make them bigger. “I saw how for so many years she was so insecure about it,” she said. “I mean, at 10 years old, she would say to me, ‘How come my lips aren’t big like you guys’?’ And I would see this insecurity…For me, I gave her advice and I still stand by that advice. I think it changed her confidence so much.”

Kim also said that Kylie knows when enough is enough and that she doesn’t have a desire to get anymore work done. “I think there are limits and there are boundaries, for sure. I think that you have to know the difference,” Kim said. “She did something that made her feel better about herself and that’s kind of where you have to draw the line, and she knows that. She doesn’t have a desire to do anything else.”

1. Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Cuoco was only 18 when she had her breasts done, but she calls her decision to go through with the procedure the best decision that she ever made. “It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done,” she told Cosmopolitan magazine. “I love them. I’m super happy. I would do it again in a heart beat.”

In an interview with Redbook magazine, she reiterated that getting breast implants were the best decision that she ever made. “I had no boobs!” she complained. “[The surgery] really was the best thing ever! I always felt ill-proportioned. My implants made me feel more confident in my body. It wasn’t about trying to be a porn star or wanting to look hot and sexy.” She may not have been trying to look sexy by getting the surgery, but that was the inevitable result. For the majority of the episodes of “Big Bang Theory,” she’s been filmed in a cleavage-baring outfit.
