On Tuesday January 27, somehow a group of self proclaimed “elite” hackers hijacked a couple of superstar Taylor Swift’s social media accounts including her Twitter and Instagram.

The hackers urged Swift’s 51 million followers to follow @lizzard and @veriuser the apparent leader of the group, The Lizard Squad.

Overnight on Monday Facebook and Instagram were both temporarily shut down, which the group is taking credit for as well as for taking down the entire PlayStation and Xbox Live gaming networks.

While the damage was minimal in terms of posting from the megastar’s account, the hackers also claim to have nude photos of Taylor that they are threatening to release according to TMZ however Taylor has already responded to the hackers once she got her Twitter back writing, “PS any hackers saying they have ‘nudes’? Psssh you’d love that wouldn’t you! Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING.”

Prior to having her accounts restored Swift first addressed the issue from her Tumblr, “My twitter got hacked but don’t worry. Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment.”

Of course when Swift got her Twitter back she also had to keep the whole situation light-hearted as her first post back was, “Cause the hackers gonna hack, hack, hack, hack, hack…”
