Back in January of this year, actress and singer Mandy Moore, 31, and then-husband singer Ryan Adams, 41, announced they were divorcing after six years of marriage.
The two released a statement, reading, “Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage. It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for the media to respect their privacy at this time.”
Almost a year later, however, the seemingly amicable divorce is still outstanding because the pair reportedly can’t reach an agreement on spousal support or dividing up their pets. In recently obtained documents from Moore, she is asking for spousal support because her annual income is only a quarter of Adams which she says is $151,000 a year. She also says that out of their eight pets, which include six dogs and two cats, Adams had promised to take at least two of them which he has not done, so Moore is now asking for $37,000 a month from Adams until the divorce is settled and that he take four of the pets right away.
“Although I love our pets, it is overwhelming for me to take care of eight of them all of the time,” Moore stated in the documents. She also added she had to “cancel a prior work engagement because my housekeeper was ill and unable to stay with our pets while I traveled for work… Without Ryan’s help caring for the house and our pets, I have not been able to work as much as I would like.”
