Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson have chosen to dance through life together as the two Dancing With the Stars pros are engaged!
The beloved Dancing With the Stars pros became engaged after Chermkovskiy proposed in Venice, Italy. Johnson, 24, shared the news of their engagement on social media, writing on Instagram, “I knew the moment I met you, you were the man of my dreams and I wanted to be with you forever. Babychka Мой любовь thank you for making my fairytale come true today! Cannot believe I get to call you my FIANCÉ!!!! #engaged.” Along with the caption she included two photos, one of a surprised look on her face while he proposed and another of her kissing him after she said “Yes!”
Chmerkovskiy, 32, also shared the same pictures and wrote, “I can’t wait to make you my wife.”
The adorable pair originally began dating back in 2015, but were on and off until 2017 when they decided to commit to a relationship together, and just recently Chmerkovskiy supported Johnson as she danced her way to a Mirrorball Trophy win on season 26 of Dancing With the Stars: Athletes with her partner Adam Rippon in only her second season as a pro.
In May, Johnson joked to Entertainment Tonight about whether they were going to take the next step towards marriage, saying, “Time’s a-ticking!” She said. “We’ll see [if engagement is in the cards anytime soon]. We both have very big things happening right now, so we’ll let that ride over… maybe we’ll go to Fiji!”
