With September right around the corner, fans are anxiously awaiting the return of their favorite shows and the end of the month will bring the return of Dancing With the Stars for its 27th season!
With just under a month to go until the September 24th premiere, ABC has confirmed which pros will be competing for the Mirror Ball Trophy this season, but of course fans will have to wait until September 12 to find out the full celebrity cast announcement on Good Morning America.
Returning for season 27 are a lot of longtime pros and some new faces as well! Newly engaged couple Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson will take a break from wedding planning to compete, and as fans know although it will only be Jenna’s third season as a pro, she is coming off a big win on season 26’s Dancing With the Stars: Athletes.
Joining Jenna and Val will be Cheryl Burke, who also recently got engaged to boyfriend Matthew Lawrence. Other season 27 pros include: Sharna Burgess, Keo Motsepe, Emma Slater, Lindsay Arnold, Witney Carson, Sasha Farber, Gleb Savchenko, Artem Chigvintsev, Alan Bersten, and new pro Brandon Armstrong!
The returning judges will be Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
If things weren’t hectic enough for the pros, many of them will also be featured on the all-new spinoff series Dancing With the Stars: Juniors for which they will be acting as mentors to the junior pros. Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Brandon Armstrong, Jenna Johnson, Lindsay Arnold, Keo Motsepe, Sasha Farber, Gleb Savchenko, Cheryl Burke, Witney Carson, and Emma Slater will all be mentors while Val Chmerkovskiy will be one of the judges for the new series!
Season 27 will premiere Monday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on ABC.
Dancing with the Stars: Juniors premieres Oct. 7 on ABC.
