Did you expect anything less? Carole Baskin just spilled the news that her first Dancing with the Stars song is “Eye of the Tiger!”
The Tiger King star and Big Cat Rescue founder Carole Baskin will soon show off her best moves on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.
Baskin opened up about her first number with E! News during a press conference on September 9th. “I was just approved yesterday to release that we are doing ‘Eye of the Tiger,’ so I’m very excited about that,” Baskin shared.
Baskin shared that while she does know the song she will be dancing to, she’s not yet in the loop about what her outfit will look like. “I’m actually sitting in my car outside of costuming right now. And I gave them the instructions that no fur, no feathers, no leather, and anything else,” she explained. She added that she doesn’t care how “wild” they go and that she just wants to “have a blast.”
Baskin also shared that she’s been turning down many media opportunities following Tiger King‘s debut on Netflix, however, it was her daughter who convinced her to rethink appearing on Dancing with the Stars. “‘Mom, you got to do this,'” she recalled her daughter telling her. “And so I contacted them and I thought what they would do to pair me with a star because I have never seen this show and didn’t know how it worked.”
She went on, “So once I found out how it actually worked I was even more mortified, but I wanted to do it for my daughter because she does so much for me.”
Carole will take the stage to the beat of “Eye of the Tiger” on Monday, Sept. 14, at 8 pm when Dancing With the Stars premieres on ABC.
