Cast Of Blossom: How Much Are They Worth Now?

MediaPunch/REX

It has been 20 years since Blossom aired its final episode. The little charmer of a show ran for five seasons, from 1990-1995, and enjoyed quite a fan following. To this day, one might hear pop culture references to the show, and the hats that Blossom Russo would wear on a frequent basis. Yes, Blossom herself is now a steady on Big Bang Theory, so there’s that, and there’s also the classic, Joey Lawrence “Whoa!?” that is nearly as well-known as the Keanu Reeves “Whoa.” So, what has the cast been up to, and what are they worth these days?

6. Finola Hughes

Estimated Net Worth: $8 million. Finola Hughes was no newcomer when she joined the cast of Blossom for its final two seasons. She offered a little love interest for Blossom’s dad, Nick Russo (played by Ted Wass), her English accent spicing things up a bit. The beautiful Finola Hughes, now 55, has enjoyed work in film and TV since her early 20s, where she was most often cast as a dancer. She rolled that impressive skill set into a starring role in the 1983 film, Staying Alive, opposite John Travolta. Her work before, and after Blossom has included film and television, and she has also ventured into producing and directing. She even joined her Blossom pal, Joey Lawrence, on an episode of Melissa & Joey. Her longest recurring roles have been enjoyed in the world of soaps, on General Hospital and All My Children.

5. Ted Wass

Estimated Net Worth: Unknown Millions. Ted Wass played the lovable and cool dad, Nick Russo, on Blossom, introducing a new generation to some really great music from “his generation.” Ted was great in the role of the single dad, and he had a delightful edge, coupled with the traditional sitcom dad sensitivities. We’re not 100 percent sure what Ted is worth in regards to his career in entertainment, but we can tell you this: he makes really good money, and he has very little interest in celebrity. He has all but left his acting career behind, and now he directs TV. What’s the going rate for a DGA director per half hour TV episode? $25,000 and change. An accomplished director like Ted is known to make between $30-40,000 per episode. He has directed… hundreds of TV episodes. You can do the math.

4. Jenna Von Oy

Estimated Net Worth: $2 million. Jenna Von Oy was about the cutest thing on TV from 1990-1995. She was the only character not in the Russo family to appear in every episode of Blossom. She was, essentially, Blossom’s sister she never had, and her character name was Six LaMeur. C’mon. That’s… so cool! They had their ups and downs, but the two stayed together like peanut butter and jelly. Jenna moved on from Blossom to enjoy episodic success in shows such as The Parkers, and What’s With Andy. Now, she enjoys the daily episodes of motherhood, and has stepped away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood to call Nashville, Tennessee, home, though she’s still involved in the industry. We’re guessing her worth to be more than reported considering the level of success she has enjoyed for over 20 years.

3. Michael Stoyanov

Estimated Net Worth: Unknown. Michael Stoyanov played oldest brother, Anthony Russo, and he left the show during the final season in order to take a job writing for a new show entitled, Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Michael was the king of one-liners in Blossom, and his dry wit was a wonderful contrast to the frenetic nature of Blossom and brother Joey. Michael has continued to work as a writer and actor for the last 20 years, and with his height and build (he’s a brick house), combined with his unique look, makes him an incredibly interesting character type. We have no idea what he’s worth, as he seems to play life and career pretty close to the chest, but fact being facts, he hasn’t stopped working for the last 20 years. We imagine he’s got seven figures tucked away if he invested wisely.

2. Joey Lawrence

Estimated Net Worth: $6 million. “Whoa!?” It’s Joey Lawrence. Joey lucked out playing Joey Russo on the show. If there’s one thing that helps an actor build a brand, it’s having the same name as a character. Joey Lawrence is one of three acting Lawrence brothers, including brother Matthew and baby bro, Andrew: all three worked together on the sitcom, Brotherly Love, after Joey finished his time on Blossom. Joey has continued to enjoy success in the world of television, and he has also dabbled in music. If there’s one thing he’ll say yes to, it’s a good opportunity. Joey is now 39, and he’s been working consistently for 33 of his years. A career trademark? He often plays characters that are named Joey. It’s no wonder he tried to ditch his nickname, and go with Joseph for awhile.

1. Mayim Bialik

Estimated Net Worth: $12 million. This girl will see her net worth rise like the temperature on a summer day, so long as she keeps signing contracts to be a part of The Big Bang Theory. Mayim Bialik is no ordinary actress. Co-starring in a show about nerds… she might be the smartest person in the cast. Mayim was an excellent student, and after she finished her life as Blossom, she embarked on an educational path that took her to UCLA, opting out of her acceptance to Harvard and Yale. Simply put, a tight bond with her family kept her close to home. She went all the way with formal education, and eventually earned a doctorate in neuroscience. What can’t she do? She continued working throughout it all. Playing herself in Kirstie Alley’s Fat Actress…? Mayim at her best.
