It looks like Miley Cyrus is already moving on!
Shortly after it was announced that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had split after less than eight months of marriage, the singer was spotted getting close to Kaitlynn Carter who recently split from The Hills: New Beginnings star Brody Jenner.
Cyrus, Carter and some other friends were photographed kissing and cuddling while lounging poolside during a girls trip to Italy.
On Friday, Carter posted a photo of herself striking a sultry pose with Cyrus — who hasn’t been wearing her wedding bands — on a boat. “Rock the boat, don’t rock the boat baby,” she captioned the snap while her ex Jenner, 35, commented, “Hot girl summer.”
Apparently the hooking up is nothing serious though as friends have said they are “just having fun together.” Meanwhile the Daily Mail caught up with Liam who was spotted leaving his older brother Chris Hemsworth’s Byron Bay house, and said, “You don’t understand what it’s like. I don’t want to talk about it mate.”
Brody Jenner took to his Instagram to seemingly comment on his ex kissing Cyrus, writing, “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.” His friend and The Hills costar Brandon Lee commented back, “Let’s round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out.” Jenner replied with, “watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon.” Cyrus also commented, “@brodyjenner go take a nap in your truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer.”
After a decade long relationship including an engagement and a major breakup, Cyrus and Hemsworth surprised everyone with a private wedding ceremony at their home in December.
In July, Cyrus spoke to Elle about their “modern relationship” and not fitting into the stereotype of being a “wife.”
“I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it,” she says. “I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a f—ing apron cooking dinner? I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women.”
Cyrus adds, “People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f–ing good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.”
On Saturday, the pair announced their split with the statement: “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
