Liam Hemsworth has something to say after his recent split from Miley Cyrus.

On Tuesday, August 13, the 29-year-old actor took to his Instagram to share a “quick note” on his split from Cyrus after more than a decade together and less than eight months of marriage.

Alongside a photo of a beach sunset, Hemsworth, wrote “Hi all
Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.”

He added, “This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love.”

His message comes after the Daily Mail reported on Monday, August 12, that they caught up with Hemsworth while he stepped out with brother Chris Hemsworth in Byron Bay, Australia and allegedly said,  “You don’t understand what it’s like. I don’t want to talk about it mate.”

The actor’s comment also comes after Cyrus was spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter, the ex of The Hills star Brody Jenner, during a girls trip to Italy.

Brody Jenner took to his Instagram to seemingly comment on his ex kissing Cyrus, writing, “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.” His friend and The Hills costar Brandon Lee commented back, “Let’s round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out.” Jenner replied with, “watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon.” Cyrus also commented, “@brodyjenner go take a nap in your truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer.”

Cyrus seemingly addressed her newly single status on social media, sharing an empowering message and writing how “change is inevitable.”

“Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable,” Cyrus captioned two photos of herself with the picturesque mountain ranges of northeastern Italy in the background.

“The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed. My dad always told me ‘Nature never hurries but it is always on time’…. it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own,” she concluded.
