Mariska Hargitay revealed on Wednesday that she was hospitalized after sustaining multiple injuries.
The Law & Order: SVU actress shared that she had to go to the Hospital for Special Surgery but that her injuries did not require a surgical operation.
Hargitay shared a photo of herself with a knee brace on her right leg and a boot on her left ankle. In the caption she shared, “#ThatFeelingWhen, you go to the doctor, get an MRI and find out that you have a broken knee, a hairline fracture in your ankle, and a torn ligament.”
She added, “It’s always a good idea to go to the doctor. Immediately,” alongside multiple hashtags such as “Listen To Your Body,” “Trust The Experts,” “Stay Strong,” “In Other Knee News,” “Busting Perps With Busted Knees,” “Brace Yourself” “Not The Bees Knees” and “The Queen Bees Knees.”
The actress still managed to keep the unfortunate news light, however, and added that she doesn’t need surgery alongside the hashtag, “You Should See The Other Guy.”
It has not been confirmed how Hargitay sustained the injuries, but she did confirm that the incident didn’t happen at work. The injuries shouldn’t affect the current season of Law & Order because it has already been filmed in its entirety with only three episodes left to air.
