Like many parents, actress Kristen Bell wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to teaching her kids how to use a toilet. While one of her daughters picked up potty training quickly, her other one is taking her own time learning.

“My oldest daughter at 21 months, we merely suggested that she use the toilet in the other room and [she] never wore another diaper beyond that,” Bell revealed on the newest episode of Momsplaining With Kristen Bell. “We were lying in bed giggling about this, my husband and I, like, ‘Why does everyone make a big deal out of this potty training? It’s so easy. Just tell the kid to use the toilet.'”
However, before The Good Place star became too confident, Bell told her guests and fellow moms Maya Rudolph and Casey Wilson that when toilet training another child – it’s a different story.
“Currently, my youngest is 5 and a half, still in diapers,” she shared.
Rudolph replied, “It’s real relative, isn’t it?”
“Yes,” Bell admitted. “Because every kid is so different.”
This is just one of the many relatable parenting moments the actress has shared with her fans and followers.
Amid the ongoing public health situation, Bell admitted that homeschooling her children hasn’t been easy.
“Doing school work with them, it is absolutely miserable,” she explained on a previous episode of her talk show. “When we started this quarantine, the first math worksheet I gave my daughter, in all the answer lines she wrote, ‘No. No. No. No. No.'”
She continued, “There are a few people that have come out victorious in this situation though. Germaphobes, stay-at-home moms, they’re all like, ‘I told you how f–cking hard this is.'”
