Earlier this week the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, shocked everyone by stepping out in a bright ensemble like nothing we’ve ever seen from her before.
The Duchess has established her Royal style to be mostly consisting of muted earth tones and black with an occasional pop of color. To start off 2019, however, the Duchess instead opted for a vibrant ensemble consisting of a purple midi length dress and red coat. Typically we’d think that these two bold colors would clash, but the Duchess seemingly found a way to make it work.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has followed suit and had an eye-catching fashion moment of her own this week. She opted for a purple suit dress by Oscar De La Renta which featured a fitted blazer top and a full pleated skirt. Kate, however, chose to take the classic route and paired the purple number with opaque black tights and black accessories.
From the looks of it, bright purple seems to be the new go-to color for these Royal women, and rightfully so since purple has often been associated with royalty.
