It has been six and a half years since MTV fans were introduced to Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell on their 2009 episode of 16 and Pregnant.
As fans of the show as well as Teen Mom know the two went on to place their daughter Carly up for adoption, but have continued to have a relationship with her as well as her adoptive parents.
All these years later, the two are now married and have another daughter Novalee, who recently saw the episode where her sister was given up for adoption, a moment Baltierra shared on Instagram. In the Instagram video, Tyler and Catelynn’s episode of 16 and Pregnant is playing while they cry and hold their daughter before handing her over, and the moment transfixed 11 month old Novalee. “All I can say is wow… this ended up on my tv today & it was so crazy to see Nova just stop & stare at the screen… I haven’t watch it since it premiered. It’s just way too hard. I still can’t believe how strong, selfless, and courageous of a wife I have. I am so blessed to have her as the mother of my children… I love you @catelynnmtv more than you will ever know. Your are a representation of what a mother is & how a mothers love is so sacrificial…your my angel,” he wrote in the emotional post.
The two made the difficult decision to place Carly up for adoption because of their own situation as teenagers and with parents who were in and out of jail and battling addiciton, but have worked hard and were married this past August after welcoming Novalee on New Year’s Day.
