Princess Charlotte arrived for her first day of school with her big brother Prince George and her parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, in tow.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge brought Charlotte and George to Thomas’s Battersea in London at around 8:20 a.m. local time. While George looked more relaxed, Charlotte was clinging to her mother’s hand and hiding behind her at times.
The children were both wearing uniforms, which are required by the private school, but Charlotte added a personal touch with a pair of navy Mary Jane shoes from Amaia. The two also sported matching knapsacks, which their parents were holding for them.
Head teacher Helen Halsem greeted the family, giving George a handshake before offering Charlotte one too.
Two years prior, Kate was supposed to take George to his first day of school but was unable to because she was suffering from acute morning sickness while pregnant with Prince Louis, so she looked extra excited to be doing this for Charlotte.
For Charlotte’s first day, Kate wore this floral Michael Kors dress, which she also wore to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding rehearsal.
