Renee Baio, the wife of actor Scott Baio, has had a quiet few months after battling severe health issues with a brain tumor, but it seems her struggles re not over.

On Saturday, March 10, the 45-year-old took to her Twitter to reveal that she has been diagnosed with Microvascular Brain Disease. A follower asked her for an update on her health, to which she responded, “Besides having 2 meningioma brain tumors, in Oct 2017 I also learned I have Microvascular Brain Disease.”

Baio himself added, “Unfortunately, this is true. Renee is forever my rock, my life & my soulmate! Toughest person I know. @MrsScottBaio.”

Scott later opened up even more about his wife’s diagnosis to The Blast, confirming she suffered from moderate to severe chronic microvascular brain disease, and added, “she was a former stuntwoman and had a massive brain injury in 92 due to a jet ski accident. We don’t know if her tumors and this new disease has anything to do with this. All we know is she must live as stress-free, depression free and anxiety free life as possible and a get good amount of sleep each night. This new disease can cause strokes and dementia.”

Scott and Renee Baio were married in 2007, two months before welcoming their daughter Bailey. Years prior, Renee was diagnosed with being in the early stages of breast cancer and underwent three successful lumpectomies. In 2015 she was then diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor.
