Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart has come out as bisexual.
On Wednesday, June 3, the actress took to her Instagram stories to share about Black Lives Matter information and a protest being held near her home in West Hollywood, California. She also shared a flyer for the “LGTBQ+ for #BlackLivesMatter” protest and wrote a personal note underneath.

“Although I’ve never announced it before, I am a proud bisexual woman,” she wrote. “And I will be joining this protest today. Come join.”
While the 23-year-old has not commented publicly about her sexuality before, it is well known to fans that she had been in an on-and-off relationship with her costar and on-screen love interest Cole Sprouse for the past couple of years.
Reports of the pair, who play on-screen couple Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones on the hit teen drama, were first dating surfaced in 2017 and they later went public with their relationship for the first time at the 2018 Met Gala. Although the pair reportedly split in 2019, they reconciled and seemed to be going strong until rumors surfaced that Sprouse had cheated on Reinhart with Kaia Gerber.
Both stars slammed the “baseless accusations” but in late May it was reported that the duo had split again, and Sprouse was self-isolating with costar KJ Apa.
Reinhart has been tweeting in support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, writing on Monday, “I don’t have all the right words, but I stand by you. #BlackLivesMatter.”>
“I can’t begin to imagine the horror of worrying that you won’t be protected by your ‘leaders’ because of the color of your skin,” she said. “I know that white privilege exists and I cpuld [sic] never fully understand what it’s like to be oppressed because of my race.”
“I want to say that I am ashamed of the racism that exists in this country,” she continued. “We are taught to look at our police officers as helpful and friendly when we learn about ‘leader’ in elementary school. Our ‘leaders’ have failed us today.”
