The Kardashians have released their Christmas card for 2013 – and it’s bigger and crazier than ever.
Each year, the reality TV family poses for a glamorous themed photo shoot. Last year, it was an all-white winter wonderland; in 2011, they wore tuxedos in an icy blue/silver landscape. For 2013, the family hired photographer David LaChapelle, who dressed the family members in black and posed them amid gold mannequins, money signs, neon lights and magazine covers.
The biggest difference in the Kardashian Christmas card this year is that it’s all about the ladies. You won’t see Kim’s fiance Kanye West or their daughter North West in the picture; Khloe’s husband Lamar Odom, Kourtney’s boyfriend Scott Disick and the ladies’ brother Rob Kardashian are also missing. Bruce Jenner didn’t want to be left out, though, so he snuck into the shot and can be seen in some kind of glass case. It’s an interesting move, considering Bruce and Kris announced in October that they’re separating after 22 years of marriage.
Beyond sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney and mom Kris Jenner, other family members included in the photo are Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Kourtney’s two children, Mason and Penelope. Penelope, who is 16 months old, is the only person not wearing black (she’s in an adorable white dress).
The whole photo doesn’t seem to evoke Christmas at all, with its gaudy Las Vegas-esque imagery. Have the Kardashians gone too far this year?
