John Stamos Shares Photos From ‘Old Stomping Grounds’ Visit To General Hospital Set

For many, John Stamos will always be known as Uncle Jesse from Full House, and because of that many forget that the beloved actor actually got his start on the iconic daytime drama General Hospital.

It seems the handsome 54-year-old decided to take a trip down memory lane when he visited the set of GH recently, and shared some photos of himself with the incredible cast.

Stamos, who played Blackie Parrish on the soap opera in the early ’80s, captioned the photos with, “The Studs of #GH ! Visiting my old stomping grounds.@generalhospitalabc @MauriceBenard @1SteveBurton @kinShriner @JoshSwickard @JustJimWarren Thanks for the hospitality boys. #Blackieforever.”

In the first of the set of photos Stamos posed alongside Kin Shriner who plays Scott Baldwin and Maurice Benard who plays Michael “Sonny” Corinthos Jr. He then shared another alongside Josh Swickard who portrays Harrison Chase and another with Steve Burton who recently made his big return as Jason Morgan. In the final picture, Stamos shared one more of himself with Burton and Benard.

Although Stamos only appeared in 13 episodes of General Hospital, it was reported back in the fall of 2017 that Amazon wanted to develop a series based on Stamos’ time working on the soap opera. According to Page Six, “Written by Adam Stein (“Damages”), the drama is described as “‘Boogie Nights’ in the soap world.” It will explore the colorful and volatile world of daytime drama as it tracks the journey of an 18-year-old Orange County kid suddenly thrust into the limelight of Los Angeles in the early-80s, when he is anointed the Next Big Thing on America’s most popular soap.”

Instead of becoming a career soap star however, Stamos is one of a few who found mainstream success as he went on to star in Full House, ER and recently Grandfathered, Scream Queens and Fuller House.
