Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra shocked the world when they announced their seemingly quick engagement earlier this year. The two wed this past week in a lavish 5-day ceremony in India that involved a blending of religions and multiple glamorous outfit changes throughout.
For the Hindu ceremony, Priyanka wore a stunning red lehenga that was covered in intricate glittering beading. The most shocking look of the event, however, is the jaw-dropping Ralph Lauren gown that Chopra wore to walk down the aisle for the Christian ceremony on December 1st. The dress featured custom-embroidery and beading along with dainty buttons trailing down the entire front. People reported that the dress had many hidden messages incorporated into it including Nick’s full name (Nicholas Jerry Jonas), their wedding date, her parents’ names, the Hindi mantra “Om Namah Shivay,” and the words family, hope, compassion, and love.
While we were in awe of Priyanka’s stunning Ralph Lauren number, there was another factor that was even more shocking — the length for her veil! Priyanka walked down the aisle with a jaw-dropping 75-foot wedding veil. The veil was so long that it actually required five people to hold it while she walked down the aisle. As a point of reference, Priyanka’s dear friend Meghan Markle wore a 16-foot veil on her Royal wedding day which seemed long at the time, but is nothing in comparison to Priyanka’s!
