Blake Lively made waves in the fashion industry when she took on the role of Serena Van Der Woodsen on the hit teen series, Gossip Girl. Serena was the New York it-girl with a posh and chic sense of style to match. She was known for her effortless yet sultry way of putting together an outfit. She always had a slightly undone quality to her looks, but still remained glamorous at all times.
Clearly, the iconic fashionable character is one that Lively still uses as inspiration from time to time and she even admitted that on her Instagram! Lively posted a photo to Instagram of her wearing head-to-toe sequins while attending the Chanel Métiers d’Art show. The look consisted of a body-hugging silver glittering gown which she paired with matching thigh-high boots. She completed the look with a white satin blouse that she left open and belted with a chunky white belt.
The sparkling look was clearly something straight out of Serena’s playbook, and Lively even acknowledged that herself. She captioned the photo, “Spotted: S, back on the steps of the Met,” referencing her character’s favorite New York hangout spot.
