Former Fresh Prince of Bel Air star Janet Hubert has even more to say concerning her long history with Will Smith.

Hubert has been in the headlines again recently after slamming her former co-star Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith over boycotting the Oscars.

Many know, however, their feud began years ago when Hubert was replaced as Aunt Viv on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air after three seasons reportedly because she and Will Smith did not get along and, as the star of the show, Smith got the final say. “Janet Hubert was never difficult on set. Janet Hubert was so professional, it wasn’t even funny,” she stated, referring to herself in the third person, in an interview on The Real which airs on Thursday Feb. 4. “I think Will simply needed to win and I think sometimes when you get caught up in a lie and those things never happened. She never left the set. I never left the set. We got along great.”

She then continued on about Will’s role in having her removed from the show: “I think he was young and he was inexperienced and I think he simply had to win. And sometimes when you get caught up in a lie and I went back to them in 2009 and I said, ‘Please, I need you to clear my name.”

Meanwhile Will has not responded to any of Hubert’s comments, but did admit that he had no idea his wife made the video about the Oscars boycott until the paparazzi asked him about. He indirectly responded to some of Hubert’s comments; however, he stated his wife would have made the video whether or not he had been nominated.
