When artists write hit songs they are sometimes in relationships that influence the lyrics, so when that relationship comes to an end, fans have noticed the song can change when it is performed. At one of Miranda Lambert’s latest shows, one of her lyric changes has fans convinced she was throwing shade at her ex-husband Blake Shelton.

After embarking on her new Livin’ Like Hippies tour, the beloved country singer stopped at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina and was performing her single “Little Red Wagon” when the audience noticed a slight change. During the line which usually says, “I live in Oklahoma,” Lambert instead sang, “I got the hell out of Oklahoma.”

Immediately, fans and followers on social media assumed the change had to do with Oklahoma being the place where she and Shelton called home for their four years of marriage. While Lambert has since relocated, Shelton still calls the state home and often spends time there with his girlfriend Gwen Stefani and her kids.

Others weren’t as convinced her new line had anything to do with Shelton with one fan writing, “It’s a tongue-in-cheek lyric change because she doesn’t live in Oklahoma anymore. Is she supposed to keep singing that she lives in OK when she doesn’t or stop singing a fan fave song?  People are reading way too much into it.”

For right now, Lambert is loving life on her new tour and with her boyfriend Anderson East. She recently took to her social media to share, “Thank you Greenville, Orlando and Atlanta for an amazing first weekend of the Livin Like Hippies Tour! Singing country music is all I’ve ever wanted to do. You all make it possible. #livinlikehippiestour #firstweekend #countrymusic! #dreamersanddrinkers.”
