Kate Middleton is back in full swing with her public appearances following her brief hiatus while on maternity leave. Royal fans are happy to see her back in the spotlight and setting the standard and providing inspiration for fall fashion. Most recently, she stepped out wearing a checked off-the-shoulder Erdem dress adorned with floral brooches. For accessories, she complimented the grey look with touches of cranberry on her silk sash and velvet pumps.
While checked and plaid pieces are a fairly common fall trend, we can’t help but draw comparisons between Kate’s look and one that was worn by Meghan Markle a few months back. Rather than a dress, Markle wore a pair of trousers, but the neckline of her checked top looks awfully similar to Kate’s! We can’t help but wonder if Kate looked to her new, trendy sister-in-law for fashion advice when putting together her Fall 2018 wardrobe this year.
