Daniel Craig’s turn as the iconic 007 has created an even larger fanbase for the James Bond franchise, and Craig was quickly named as one of the best Bond’s ever, unfortunately being James Bond has its risks.
Craig participates in as many of the action scenes as he can without using a stunt double, but his dedication to his role recently landed him on the surgery table after suffering a knee injury while filming the 24th installment in the series, Spectre.
“During a scheduled break, Daniel Craig had arthroscopic surgery to repair his knee injury,” a spokeswoman for the actor told the BBC news. The spokeswoman along with the film’s production company, Eon Productions, also denied that the surgery had any impact on the progress film and Craig did not miss several days of filming adding that, “he will rejoin production on April 22 at Pinewood.”
Back in February it was revealed that Craig had sprained his knee while filming with former James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore, 87, jokingly offer to step back in if he was needed, tweeting, “Sorry to hear Daniel Craig has sprained his knee on set #Spectre. Being 007 is not without its hazards. I’m available to step in if needed.”
Spectre is set to hit theatres in November of this year.
