Carrie Underwood had a big night at the 2019 CMT Awards on Wednesday, June 5.

The incredible country star not only performed her new hit single “Southbound” but also enjoyed an adorable date night with husband Mike Fisher as it was his 39th birthday, and she made CMT Awards history!

The 36-year-old won two of  the night’s coveted awards for Video of the Year (“Cry Pretty”) and Female Video of the Year (“Love Wins”) and with those two wins she became not just the most awarded female country star in the Awards show’s history but the most-awarded artist in the show’s history!

When accepting her award for Female Video of the Year, Underwood was quick to celebrate her husband with whom she shares two sons, Isaiah and Jacob, joking, “It is my husband’s birthday today. Look what they got you. Thank you so much. God bless you guys. Thank you, CMT. Thank you.”

Of course Underwood’s wins were just an addition to the already huge year she is having. On August 8, 2018, the singer announced that she and Fisher were expecting their second child and later revealed that she had suffered three miscarriages previous to the pregnancy. That same day she announced plans for her Cry Pretty 360 tour which she is currently in the middle of only months after welcoming their son Jacob in January 2019.
