28. Worst: Stacy Martin

Stacy Martin stepped out onto the BAFTAs red carpet this year wearing a black gown that featured strange texture detailing throughout. The Christian Dior Haute Couture number felt quite harsh on the star, especially with all the cage detail and diagonal loop embellishment on the skirt.

27. Best: Letitia Wright

Letitia Wright won the Rising Star award at the BAFTAs this year and wore a winning fashion look to match. We absolutely love this crisp, white pantsuit on Wright! It’s sophisticated, elegant and chic.

26. Worst: Laura Whitmore

Laura Whitmore opted for a glitzy silver dress for this year’s BAFTA Awards. While we love a metallic dress on the red carpet, we have to admit we didn’t love the stringy bodice detailing of this dress which seemed to detract from an otherwise beautiful fashion moment.

25. Best: Michelle Rodriguez

Michelle Rodriguez stepped out at the 2019 BAFTAs wearing a champagne-colored slip dress in a luxurious satin material. The Jenny Packham dress fit her like a glove and featured natural pleating in all the right places.

24. Worst: Millie Mackintosh

Millie Mackintosh opted for a frilly champagne number for this year’s BAFTA Awards that we have to admit we weren’t the biggest fans of. The ruffled sleeves and tiered frills on the skirt felt outdated and missed the mark on the fresh, trendy fashion we were hoping to see.

23. Best: Claire Foy

Claire Foy looked elegant and sleek in this rich green strapless dress designed by Oscar de la Renta. The dress flattered her figure perfectly without being too tight and brought the drama by featuring edgy fringe and a thigh-high slit at the front.

22. Worst: Edith Bowman

Edith Bowman wore a highly questionable look to this year’s BAFTA Awards that landed her on quite a few worst-dressed lists. It featured a strange light pink doily print in contrast with a black bodice that featured an embellished flower pot. To make matters worse, the look featured black gloves and strange white lace around the neck and sleeves.

21. Best: Michelle Yeoh

Crazy Rich Asians star Michelle Yeoh stepped out at the BAFTA Awards wearing an absolutely beautiful Ellie Saab gown this year. We love the unconventional pairing of gold and light blue which made for a unique and eye-catching red carpet moment!

20. Worst: Laura Harrier

Laura Harrier opted for a long-sleeve orange dress for this year’s BAFTA Awards that we felt underwhelmed by. Harrier has nailed all her red carpet looks so far this year, so we had high expectations for her BAFTA look. Unfortunately, this dress felt somewhat lackluster in comparison.

19. Best: Glenn Close

Glenn Close opted for the most elegant two-piece set for this year’s BAFTA Awards! The black set fit her perfectly and the silver rose detail along the bodice added a beautiful touch of glitz without going overboard.

18. Worst: Viola Davis

As much as we love Viola Davis as an actress, we can’t say we were fans of her dress for this year’s BAFTAs. The black dress was undeniably sleek, but the oversized white bow detail along the chest seemed to detract from the entire ensemble.

17. Best: Olivia Colman

Olivia Colman nailed her red carpet look for this year’s BAFTAs! The monochrome black and white look was elegant and simplistic, but this allowed her beauty to shine and be the star of the show.

16. Worst:  Eleanor Tomlinson

Eleanor Tomlinson stepped out at this year’s BAFTA Awards wearing a pink dress with a little too much detail for our liking. From the oversized bow on the shoulder and the contrasting black paneling to the bold embellishment on half the skirt, we didn’t know where to look with this dress!

15. Best: Amy Adams

Amy Adams looked sophisticated and gorgeous in this rich burgundy gown in a satin texture at the BAFTAs this year. We love the subtle detail of this dress like the shoulder ruffles, brooch-like embellishment on the chest and the belt which cinched in her waist.

14. Worst: Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett opted for a black dress with a dramatic gemstone design on the chest for the BAFTAs this year. While we love a strong little black dress on the red carpet, we’re not sure the gemstone details of this look made a statement in the right way since they seemed to overpower the look.

13. Best: Octavia Spencer

Octavia Spencer nailed her red carpet look for the BAFTAs this year where she stepped out in a crimson dress that featured a floating neckline and an elegant off-the-shoulder shape. The look featured the perfect amount of drama with the glitz on the bodice.

12. Worst: Lily Collins

Lily Collins had a fashion miss at this year’s BAFTA Awards where she stepped out wearing a deep blue dress paired with a matching jacket. We would have much preferred if this look skipped on the jacket to allow the details of the skirt to shine.

EPA/NEIL HALL

11. Best: Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek was a refreshing breath of fresh air with her simplistic black gown at this year’s BAFTA Awards. To add a little detail and glitz, the star wore a lizard-inspired brooch and a sparkling headpiece in her hair.

EPA/NEIL HALL

10. Worst: Lucy Boynton

We were quite confused by this yellow-and-black look worn by Lucy Boynton at the BAFTA Awards this year. The look featured a bizarre pattern on the skirt as well as a strange feather neckline that didn’t quite seem to flow together.

EPA/NEIL HALL

9. Best: Regina King

Regina King has been nailing all of her red carpet looks this season and the 2019 BAFTA awards were no exception. The star stepped out in this fuschia pink gown that featured an asymmetrical neckline and a thigh-high slit on the skirt. She topped the striking look with a sleek updo and a pop of pink on her lips.

8. Worst: Rachel Brosnahan

Rachel Brosnahan almost had a winning red carpet look for this year’s BAFTA Awards, except for one detail detracted from her look –the oversized bow on the front! It felt unnecessary and took away from the stunning emerald satin dress.

7. Best: Irina Shayk

Supermodel Irina Shayk looked drop dead gorgeous at the BAFTA Awards this year. She nailed tuxedo dressing and this particular suit fit her flawlessly. She wore her hair in a sleek updo and topped the look with an embellished shoe for a playful pop of texture.

EPA/NEIL HALL

6. Worst: Zawe Ashton

Zawe Ashton had an unfortunate fashion miss at this year’s BAFTA Awards where she donned a fuschia dress that didn’t do her beauty justice. The dress had no shape and seemed to overwhelm her figure rather than flatter it.

EPA/NEIL HALL

5. Best: Thandie Newton

Thandie Newton had an absolutely killer fashion moment at the BAFTA Awards this year. She dazzled in a black and white ruffle gown that felt both dainty and dramatic in the perfect combination.

4. Worst: Rachel Weisz

We have to admit we didn’t love the dress worn by Rachel Weisz at this year’s BAFTA Awards. A common fashion faux pas this year at the BAFTAs was oversized ruffles that overpowered the dress, and this was, unfortunately, the case with this look worn by Weisz. All the tiers and frilly ruffles made this look feel more like a costume than a red carpet look.

EPA/NEIL HALL

3. Best: Taylor Swift

While Taylor Swift didn’t walk the red carpet at this year’s BAFTAs, we have to give her major kudos for this stunning and whimsical powder blue dress she wore to attend the event. She was the guest of her British boyfriend Joe Alwyn and absolutely dazzled even if she wasn’t professionally photographed. The dress can be seen here.

2. Worst: Margot Robbie

We had high expectations for Margot Robbie’s look at the BAFTAs, but we have to admit we weren’t the biggest fans. The ruffles on this dress seemed to resemble wings and simply felt like too much, especially in combination with all the glitter of the bodice.

EPA/NEIL HALL

1. Best: Kate Middleton

Of course, our favorite look at this year’s BAFTA Awards was the whimsical and floaty dress worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. The Duchess always nails her BAFTAs look each year and 2019 was no exception. We love the frilly shoulder detail of this dress which was the perfect example of glamor without going overboard.
