10 Celebrities In Ill-Fitting Dresses!

When it comes to the red carpet, celebrities really shouldn’t have any problems. They have hair stylists, makeup artists and personal stylists to do all of the hard work for them – they just have to show up and look good, which shouldn’t be that difficult. Unfortunately, all of this help isn’t enough to prevent some of our favorite celebrities from making epic mistakes on the red carpet. Here are 10 celebrities who wore ridiculously ill fitting dresses!

10. Katie Holmes

Even though she had her own clothing line – Holmes & Yang – Katie Holmes has always had difficulties styling herself for events. This was especially apparent when she wore a Holmes & Yang criss cross dress to the “Jack and Jill” premiere. There are so many reasons why this dress is unflattering on the “Dawson’s Creek” star. It makes her look like she has wide hips (which she doesn’t); the length of the skirt is wrong; and the skirt’s waist looks like it has been rolled a few times.

9. Anne Hathaway

Anna Hathaway made a huge fashion faux pas when she showed up at the 85th Academy Awards wearing this pale pink Prada gown. Even though she said that she really liked this dress for its simplicity, it was universally hated. No one could not take their eyes away from the awkward-looking nipple area. She may have won the Oscar for Best Actress that evening, but this lumpy and wrinkly gown landed her on countless worst dressed lists.

8. Rihanna

When it comes to fashion, Rihanna enjoys shocking people. She wore this Pepto-Bismol-pink Armani dress Privé gown to the 2007 VMAs and, while the entire look definitely gets our attention, we can’t help but feel it was for the wrong reasons. The curvaceous star looks like she is about to pop out of the top part of the dress. We can’t help but wonder: Why didn’t she get the dress custom-made to fit her curves better?

7. Cameron Diaz

On the red carpet, Cameron Diaz is a force to be reckoned with. She has impeccable style and almost always ends up on best-dressed lists; however, when she showed up at the “The Other Woman” premiere wearing this awkward-looking Stella McCartney dress, she wasn’t looking her best. The worst part about this dress is the plunging neckline. While some might argue that it looks sexy, to us it doesn’t look like it fits especially well in that area.

6. Kim Kardashian

A list of celebrities wearing ill-fitting dresses wouldn’t be complete without Kim Kardashian! The reality star is definitely challenged when it comes to style. She has worn more than her fair share of awkward-looking outfits, but this purple and orange criss cross dress from the Gucci Spring 2011 collection takes the cake. The dress itself looks too tight and the bit of skin that she shows around the midsection looks like it is bursting out. Not a good look!

5. Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr has an incredible body and, on the vast majority of occasions, she comes out perfectly styled. This sparkly Dolce & Gabbana number that she wore to the Golden Globes 2012 After Party had a lot of potential; however, it doesn’t fit her chest well, at all! If her chest wasn’t about to burst out of the top of the dress, this look would have been total winner. Instead we are left wondering why this Victoria Secret model didn’t bother to get the dress tailored.

4. Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan’s most fashionable years are well behind her. When she does show up on the red carpet these days, the dresses she chooses aren’t flattering. The dress she wore to the “Liz & Dick” premiere was no exception. While she was obviously going for a classy and glamorous look, she failed epically. The silky dress looked trashy and did not accentuate her figure at all. To make matters worse, reviewers trashed the film and her performance.

3. Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera wore this super short and billowy baby doll dress to a pre-VMA party in 2007. The Grammy-winning singer was pregnant at this point, but she had yet to announce her pregnancy to the world. Paris Hilton ended up doing the announcing for her when she congratulated her at the party. “Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. You’re gorgeous,” Paris announced via microphone. This dress is so loose that Aguilera could hide a few kids under there.

2. Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston has never been an especially fashionable star. She typically plays it safe with by wearing every variation on the little black dress. She went a little out of her comfort zone with this printed Prada dress that she wore to the Hand and Footprint Ceremony. While it is nice to see the “Friends” star in some color, the fit of this dress is all wrong. It billows out too much in the chest, making her look top heavy, which couldn’t be further from the truth.

1. Gwyneth Paltrow

When it comes to fashion, Gwyneth Paltrow is not an expert. Case in point – this bright orange Prada mini dress that she wore to the “Contagion” photo call in 2011. The color looks great on the Oscar-winning actress; however, the top part makes her look lumpy and bumpy. Paltrow is known for being very weight and health conscious, so it seems a bit surprising that she didn’t look in the mirror and notice how unflattering this dress looked on her.
