There is a lot of buzz around “Nebraska” and “American Hustle,” but we definitely want “American Hustle” to take home this award!

Our Prediction:

We think it is a toss up between Alfonso Cuarón for “Gravity” and Steve McQueen for “12 Years a Slave;” however, if we had to choose just one, we would go with “Gravity.”

Idris Elba, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom

Matthew McConaughey, Dallas Buyer’s Club

Our Prediction:

We are guessing that Chiwetel Ejiofor will win for his role in “12 Years a Slave;” however, considering that Nelson Mandela just passed away, Idris Elba could sneak in and win for his role in “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.”

Our Prediction:

There is a lot of buzz around Cate Blanchett and her role in “Blue Jasmine” and we think she might be the best pick in this category. Sandra Bullock was also pretty amazing in “Gravity,” so we think she may be a strong contender. If Blanchett doesn’t win, then we are rooting for Bullock.

Our Prediction:

Everyone thinks Bruce Dern will take this award for his role in “Nebraska;” however, Leonardo DiCaprio is considered a strong contender for his role in “The Wolf on Wall Street.” We are hoping DiCaprio takes this award home. He hasn’t taken home a Golden Globe award for several years now, so we think it is time!

Our Prediction:

This category is a tough one with three strong contenders: Amy Adams in “American Hustle;” Julie Delpy in “Before Midnight;” and Meryl Streep in “August: Osage County.” In spite of the tough competition, we think Adams will take this one. As an actress, she is flawless and her performance in “American Hustle” is nothing short of excellent.

Everyone is raving about John Ridley’s screenplay for “12 Years a Slave” so we figure this one will definitely win for Best Screenplay!

Our Prediction:

For this award, we think Jared Leto will win for his role as the HIV-positive transgender character named Rayon in “Dallas Buyers Club.” But, if Leto doesn’t take the award home, then it will be Michael Fassbender for his role as the nefarious slave owner Epps in “12 Years a Slave.” We definitely want Leto to win though!

Our Prediction:

Jennifer Lawrence steals every scene in American Hustle and, for that reason, we think she’ll walk away with the Golden Globe this year.

Our Prediction:

We think it is almost a guarantee that “Breaking Bad” will take this award home. Season five of “Breaking Bad” was flawless and there isn’t much on television that can compete with it. Although there is a lot of hype around shows like “Masters of Sex” and “The Good Wife,” “Breaking Bad” seems like the obvious winner to us.
