Chicago Hope was one of the best medical dramas on television before Grey’s Anatomy swept the scene. At the time, the CBS show was competing with ER, and although it didn’t last as long, it still ran for six seasons from 1994 to 2000, which isn’t too shabby in the competitive world of television. Chicago Hope followed the lives of the doctors and nurses working in the fictional private charity hospital operating out of Chicago, Illinois, and received critical acclaim.
