9 Celebrities Who Have Slammed The Kardashians

There are some celebrities in Hollywood who just don’t want to keep up with the Kardashians. They really don’t get how this family became so famous to begin with and they are really confused as to why people are so still invested in the family’s reality TV shows. The Kardashians and their shows are like crack-cocaine – they are highly addictive, even though not a lot happens. Since the Kardashians have become such a big part of Hollywood, we figured we’d check in with some other celebrity folk to see what they think about the controversial family. Here are 9 celebrities who have slammed the Kardashians!

9. Jonah Hill

Jonah Hill dislikes all things Kardashian because their reality TV show gets higher ratings than shows that have actual substance. “The truth of it is, I have friends who work in TV and the Kardashians get higher ratings than their TV shows. Shows that people actually work hard on – writing and creating and trying to tell stories,” he said. “The fact that the Kardashians could be more popular than a show like Mad Men is disgusting.”

Hill’s got a valid point. “Mad Men” is actually a really great show, whereas “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” is more like watching a train wreck – albeit an entertaining train wreck at least. He made one more really good point about the family and reality television. “The Kardashians are as famous as our president. What does that tell you about how skewed our society is?” It obviously tells us that there is something really wrong with our society!

8. Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon slammed Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards when she was accepting a Generation Award. “I get it, girls, that it’s cool to be a bad girl,” she said. “But it is possible to make it in Hollywood without doing a reality show. When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed.” Things have certainly changed since Witherspoon was a young star!

The Oscar-winning actress also had some advice. “And if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people!” she said. “Hide your face!” Sounds like good advice to us, although we aren’t sure how many stars are going to take it. There have been so many nude photo scandals in recent years (or months) that we are not sure if anyone is really interested in anonymity.

7. Mariah Carey

According Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey has no idea who Kim Kardashian is. When he was on Howard Stern’s show earlier this year discussing all the relationships that he’s had with famous women, including the one he had with Kim, Cannon was quick to point out that Carey had no issues with that relationship because she didn’t even know who the reality star was.

We’re not sure how true that is though. Back in 2011, Carey seemed to diss Kim and her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries. “I’m a real person, I’m not going to put on a fake face for Hollywood,” she said, referring to her marriage to Cannon. “Sometimes we make each other mad, that’s why we aren’t divorced after four months.” Carey and Cannon are currently separated and they are reportedly headed for divorce. They made it six years though, which is probably impressive, especially in comparison to Kim and Humphries.

6. Janice Dickinson

Janice Dickinson trashed the Kardashian family after she heard that they called themselves the First Family of reality television. “I have a real family. I raise my children with values,” she said. “My daughter goes to the University of Michigan and is a Kappa Kappa Gamma. When I heard that the Kardashians called themselves the First Family of reality television I threw up.”

The self-proclaimed first supermodel didn’t’ stop there. “Kris Jenner signed a contract with Vivid,” she said, referring to daughter Kim Kardashian’s sex tape. “Kris approved the video, she signed it along with Kim and Ray J.” Funny that Dickinson said that. Many of us think that Kris brokered the deal for the sex tape to get publicity for their reality TV show that was coming out later that year. None of them have ever admitted it, but it seems pretty clear given the time frame in which everything happened.

5. Jeremy Renner

Jeremy Renner is one celebrity who isn’t interested in keeping up with the Kardashians. In an interview with The Guardian, he was asked about the family (for some odd reason) and, unsurprisingly, he had nothing but nasty things to say. “Oh, all those ridiculous people with zero talent who spend their lives making sure everyone knows their name. Those stupid, stupid people,” he said.

Kim Kardashian’s good friend Jonathan Cheban wasn’t impressed with Renner for dissing his best friend, accusing him of using Kim to promote his new film “The Bourne Legacy.” “I love how people use Kim to promote their projects,” Cheban said. “Matt Damon would never pull this nonsense; that’s because he is an A-lister.” We think Cheban is definitely wrong about this one. Renner isn’t out for attention and he is part of the A-list. With two Academy Award nominations under his belt and a red-hot career, he is everything Kim isn’t.

4. Kristin Cavallari

Kristin Cavallari was not happy with the Kardashian Klan when a rumor about her hooking up with Scott Disick started making the rounds. The former reality TV star – who is happily married to Jay Cutler – felt that the family was using the story to get publicity for their show. “It’s 100 percent not true,” she said on “The Billy Bush Show.” “I just think, what convenient timing for them (Kardashians) with their show premiering next week.”

The former “Laguna Beach” star thinks that the Kardashians may have planted the story to get some of the public’s attention away from Kim and her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries. “With everything that’s going on for Kim, I feel like they’re trying to take the heat off her,” she continued. “When there’s a big story like that, they always call you and ask if you want to comment and clearly none of them denied it.”

3. Jon Hamm

Jon Hamm doesn’t get the appeal of Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton. In an interview with Elle UK, he complained about them and how our culture rewards “stupidity.” “We’re at a place where the idea of being ‘elite’ is somehow considered negative,” he said. “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly…It’s celebrated. It doesn’t make sense to me.”

Kardashian wasn’t happy about what Hamm said and took to Twitter to express her thoughts on his comments. “Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless,” she tweeted. On “The Today Show,” when Hamm was asked about Kardashian’s response to what he said, he stood by his remarks. “I don’t think [my comments] were careless. I think they were accurate,” he said.

2. Sarah Michelle Gellar

When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West landed on the cover of Vogue, Sarah Michelle Gellar was totally unimpressed and took to Twitter to voice her opinions. “Well……I guess I’m canceling my Vogue subscription,” she tweeted. “Who is with me???” Many fans may have agreed with her but, as always, Kim Kardashian’s loyal friend Jonathan Cheban rushed in to defend her honor. “Do u matter?” he said, retweeting Gellar’s original message.

Anna Wintour, soon after, defended her decision to put the controversial reality star and Kanye West on the cover of one of the world’s most celebrated magazines. In her editorial letter, she wrote: “Kanye is an amazing performer and cultural provocateur, while Kim, through her strength of character, has created a place for herself in the glare of the world’s spotlight, and it takes real guts to do that.” We’re with Sarah on this one. Everyone, cancel your subscriptions! Vogue has clearly gone tabloid.

1. Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig went off on the Kardashian Klan in an interview with GQ. “I think there’s a lot to be said for keeping your own counsel,” he said. “You can’t buy it back. You can’t buy your privacy back. ‘Ooh, I want to be alone.’ F**k you. We’ve been in your living room. We were at your birth. You filmed it for us and showed us the placenta, and now you want some privacy?”

As the interview progressed, Craig got more direct. “It’s a career. What can I tell you?” he said. “It is a career; I’m not being cynical. And why wouldn’t you? Look at the Kardashians, they’re worth millions. Millions! I don’t think they were that badly off to begin with, but now look at them. You see that and you think, ‘What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f**king idiot on television and then you’ll pay me millions?” What he is saying sounds a lot like what Jon Hamm said – and we couldn’t agree more!
