6 Signs Kanye West Is Totally Losing It

Kanye West has been unusually vocal on Twitter as of late. It seems as though he can’t stop tweeting and it’s getting him into some trouble and making him look like he’s starting to lose it. We don’t know for sure if he is headed for a breakdown, but all signs seem to point to yes.

6. Starting a Twitter Fight with Wiz Khalifa

Kanye’s troubles began when he started a fight with Wiz Khalifa on Twitter back in January. Wiz wasn’t into Kanye changing his album’s name from Swish to Waves and Kanye took it personally, especially when he thought that Wiz was making a reference to his wife Kim Kardashian. Kanye brought his and Wiz’s ex girlfriend Amber Rose into the feud – and their kid, Sebastian – and that’s when we all knew he was starting to lose it.

5. Claiming Bill Cosby Is Innocent

On February 9, two days before his new album dropped, Kanye created some serious controversy when he declared on Twitter that Bill Cosby is innocent. This was in direct opposition to something he said a month before this. He name checked Cosby in a New Year’s Eve track called “Facts” where he seemed to indicate that he believed Cosby was guilty: “Do anybody feel bad for Bill Cosby? Did he forget the names just like Steve Harvey?” he rapped. Maybe Kanye was just trying to get more press for his album’s release, but claiming that Cosby is innocent is definitely ill advised and seems indicative that the rapper isn’t thinking clearly.

4. Reigniting Taylor Swift Feud

Kanye and Taylor Swift were totally fine and then he referenced her in his song “Famous” from his new album T.L.O.P. The lyrics included, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why, I made that b-tch famous / God damn / I made that b-tch famous.” He then went on Twitter, claiming that he never dissed her and that she was aware that he was going to be using her name in on one of songs and that she gave him her blessing. Her spokesperson has since refuted this, claiming that Taylor warned him about “releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.” At the 2016 Grammy Awards, Taylor referenced Kanye’s diss in her acceptance speech, indicating that they didn’t have a conversation about this song.

3. Deep in Debt

In one of his latest tweets, Kayne claimed that he’s $53 million in debt. While it might be easy to take this at face value, it’s a little more complicated than he let on. He’s reportedly been investing money in his fashion and music endeavors. Sources say that he didn’t get a dime from Nike for the first generation of his shoe and he spent hundreds of thousands of dollars building sets for his last tour and to make his 2012 short film “Cruel Summer.” He also brought in $22 million in 2015 and $30 million in 2014, so we don’t get why he would say he’s $53 million in the hole when he’s obviously not.

2. Asking Mark Zuckerberg for Money

After claiming that he’s $53 million in debt, Kanye took to Twitter to beg Mark Zuckerberg to invest $1 billion into his ideas. In one of his tweets, he claimed that Zuckerberg’s money would be better spent on him than on a school in Africa. “All you dudes in San Fran play rap music in your homes but never help the real artists…you’d rather open up one school in Africa like you really helped the country…if you want to help… help me…” Yikes! Asking for Zuckerberg to put money he puts towards schools in Africa towards Kanye is pretty messed up. That comment is proof that the rapper is really starting to lose it.

1. Freaking Out on Saturday Night Live

This past weekend, Kanye was supposed to perform on Saturday Night Live and he reportedly had a major meltdown and threatened to walk off the show. The show’s creator Lorne Michaels and his wife Kim Kardashian had to calm him down and convince him to take the stage. A source said that he threw the tantrum because he wasn’t happy about the set and another source indicated that he’s had a lot of meltdowns lately. “He’s having regular meltdowns. Everyone’s walking on eggshells around him. He’s under a lot of stress between the new album and the fashion line,” the other source said.
