12 Biggest Celebrity Feuds Of 2014

We thought last year was dramatic. After reviewing all of the drama that occurred in 2014, however, we think this year might be even more scandalous. When it comes to celebrity feuds, it’s best to take the high road. Fighting with other stars (especially over social media) can only lead to bad publicity. We’ve rounded up the 12 biggest celebrity feuds of 2014. Most of these fights could have easily been avoided! Enjoy!

12. Taylor Swift vs. Katy Perry

During an interview with Rolling Stone, Taylor Swift offered a blind item about a female artist in the music industry who had been meangirling her. According to Swifty, this woman had tried to sabotage one of her arena tours. “She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it,” she said.

No one knew exactly who Swift was talking about; however, later that day, Katy Perry outed herself on Twitter by referencing the movie “Mean Girls.” “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…” she tweeted. Rumor has it that these two singers were sparring because of John Mayer. Both of them dated the lothario. Swifty had a brief relationship with him in 2010 and Perry had a relationship with him from 2012 to 2013. The “I Kissed a Girl” singer was reportedly not impressed that Swift had written a blind item about Mayer called “Dear John.”

11. Snoop Dogg vs. Iggy Azalea

Snoop Dogg started a fight with Iggy Azalea on Istagram this past October for no apparent reason. He began the feud by comparing her makeup free look to Marlon Wayan’s character in the movie, “White Chicks.” Things got pretty nasty between these two rather quickly, with both of them taking shots at each other. Even though Azalea is about 20 years younger than Snoop, she definitely handled herself with more maturity than he did.

According to a source, T.I., who is close to both Snoop and Azalea, ended up serving as a mediator in the fight. “T.I. jumped in to defend her. Iggy is family to him, but so is Snoop. It started out as something playful…and then turned serious,” a source said. “They both took things the wrong way…T.I. talked it out with Snoop and then Iggy and was the mediator. Everybody understands now and they know what they did was wrong.”

10. Bette Midler vs. Ariana Grande

Bette Midler started a feud with Ariana Grande this past November when she called her out for her provocative videos and stage performances. “It’s always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, a very wholesome voice, slithering around on a couch looking so ridiculous. I mean, it’s silly beyond belief and I don’t know who’s telling her to do it. I wish they’d stop. But it’s not my business, I’m not her mother. Or her manager. Maybe they tell them that’s what you’ve got to do. Sex sells,” she said.

Grande wasn’t happy about Midler’s comments; however, she handled herself like a lady. “Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement!!! Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!! Always a fan no matter what my love, and I will still quote first wives club every single day of my life lmao,” she tweeted. Midler has since apologized, going so far as to ask Grande to let her direct her new video; however, the tiny pop star has yet to respond.

9. Eminem vs. Iggy Azalea vs

Eminem made the news last month when he released his latest song, “Vegas,” which included some controversial lyrics. It seemed as though he was threatening to rape Iggy Azalea in his song. She responded on Twitter with “im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz.” Not one to simply apologize, he released another song, “Guts Over Fear,” which featured him expressing a sense of remorse for all the pain he’s caused.

Azalea is the one who got the last laugh in this feud. At the American Music Awards, she beat Eminem out for the award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album. “It means so much that I can stand here against Eminem and Drake and come out with this. It’s amazing. Thank you so much to T.I. for believing in me and to all my fans, I appreciate it so much. Thank you.”

8. Kim and Khloe Kardashian vs. Adrienne Bailon

Kim and Khloe took major issue with Adrienne Bailon this past summer when she started discussing her breakup with their younger brother Rob and how having been affiliated with the Kardashian family had negatively affected her career. “To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and to my career. I probably realized that too late – not that it would’ve affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would’ve affected my decision to appear on the show,” she said. “To this day, people will still say, ‘You ruined Rob’s life!’ And I’ll think, ‘Damn, I was still playing with Barbie dolls when I met him.’”

Kim and Khloe Kardashian were pretty quick to come to their brother’s defense. “Funny how she says being with a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian,” Kim tweeted. Khloe retweeted one of her sister’s messages: “So sad when people try to kick my brother when he is down #FamilyForever.”

7. Rihanna vs. TLC

Rihanna took major offence when the remaining members of TLC, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, criticized chart-topping stars on Australia’s talk show, “Sunrise,” for always being naked. “Every time I see you, you don’t have to be naked. And it’s hard for us to say anything ’cause anytime we say something, it’s, ‘TLC, oh they must be jealous!’ First of all, let me say this. It is what it is. I call a spade a spade, OK?” T-Boz said. “We sold and became the biggest girl selling group of all time, with our clothes on,” T-Boz said. “That says a lot. It’s easy to sell sex. We can go around with boobie cakes out all day long.”

Rihanna responded to this perceived slight by posting a picture of TLC from back in the day, posing topless with their hands covering their breasts. According to T-Boz, they weren’t even talking about the often scantily clad singer in the interview; however, they didn’t appreciate her approach. “What is not cool is if we have a problem with an artist, or an artist has a problem with us, come to us directly, talk to us. Don’t start a Twitter war and all this kind of stuff. That’s silly,” T-Boz said.

6. Charlie Sheen vs. Rihanna

Charlie Sheen went ballistic on Rihanna via Twitter this past May after she declined his invitation to meet his fiancé-at-the-time, Brett Rossi, when they were dining at the same restaurant. According to the irate actor, it was the former porn star’s birthday and she’s a huge fan of the award-winning singer; however, she might not be anymore. Sheen claims that she was not okay with being dissed by one of her idols.

“Nice impression you left behind, Bday or not. Sorry we’re not KOOL enough to warrant a blessing from the Princess, or in this case the Village idiot,” he tweeted. “Oh and Riahnna, Halloween isn’t for a while, but good on you for testing out your costume in public.” Rihanna seemed to respond via Twitter; however, she did it in the most cryptic way possible. “If that old queen don’t get ha diapers out of a bunch,” she tweeted.

5. Freddie Prinze Jr. vs. Kiefer Sutherland

Earlier this year, Freddie Prinze Jr. shocked everyone when he went on a rant to ABC News about his former co-star from the action-drama “24,” Kiefer Sutherland. The former teen heartthrob didn’t hold back. “I did 24, it was terrible. I hated every moment of it,” he said. “Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That’s not me talking trash, I’d say it to his face, I think everyone that’s worked with him has said that.” Things got so bad that Prinze Jr. almost quit acting for good.

The feud was apparently really one-sided. When Sutherland was asked about his former co-star and the alleged beef between them, he had nothing but nice things to say. “Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze Jr. more than five years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie’s grievances,” his rep said. “Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best.”

4. Martha Stewart vs. Gwyneth Paltrow

Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow have been throwing shade at each other for the better part of a year. It all began this past September when Stewart said that the Oscar-winning actress should shut up and stick to acting. “She just needs to be quiet. She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart,” she told Net-a-Porter’s Porter magazine.

Paltrow hasn’t taken anything Stewart has said personally. When she was questioned about the dig during an interview with Fortune magazine, she initially pretended to be shocked by the criticism and then admitted that she is happy that the lifestyle mogul considers her competition. “If I’m really honest, I’m so psyched that she sees us as competition. I’m so psyched. I really am,” she said. “At this point in my life I don’t take it personally.” Since then, these two ladies have been taking swipes at each other through their recipes.

3. Chris Brown vs. Andrienne Bailon

This past November, Chris Brown went after Adrienne Bailon and Tamar Braxton when they expressed concern for his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Karreuche Tran. “You don’t think that some of her friends also reap the benefits of her dating Chris Brown?” Bailon told the panel. “They want to be a part of that circle. Really, are they going to tell you, ‘Leave that.’…You want to have real friends who tell you the truth.”

Naturally, Brown didn’t take the criticism so well. He exploded on Instagram, targeting Bailon in his rant. “BRING THAT A** HERE BOY’ ADRIENNE BAILON….You ole trout mouth ass b-tch,” he wrote. “U tried it. Won’t u the same bitch that was f**king wit married men? U also was keeping up with the Kardashians! U can’t talk about relationship goals when u don’t even have life goals. Ain’t you a cheetah girl? Last time u was important n*gg*s was riding spinners and wearing 6x talk Ts. You the same b**ch having threesomes like the rest of these hoes.”

2. Orlando Bloom vs. Justin Bieber

This past summer, Orlando Bloom and Justin Bieber got into a boy fight in Ibiza, Spain. Witnesses say that things got heated between the two when the controversial pop star walked by the “Lord of the Rings” star’s table and tried to shake hands with him. Bloom reportedly refused, which didn’t sit too well with Bieber, who reportedly said, “She was good,” referring to his estranged wife, Miranda Kerr. Sources say that Bloom then got into his face and threw a punch, but missed.

Back in 2012, while Bloom and Kerr were still married, Bieber was reportedly telling people that he hooked up with her after he performed at a Victoria’s Secret runway show that she modeled in. Rumor has it that she was telling him that she would “make him a man.” We personally don’t want to believe that Kerr would hook up with someone as appalling as Bieber; however, there is no guarantee that it didn’t happen.

1. Katy Perry vs. Miley Cyrus

Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus were feuding earlier this year. It all began when Perry went on the Australian talk show “Sunrise” and talked about the famous picture that was circulating on the web of Cyrus kissing her. “I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do,” she said. “And then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away. God knows where that tongue has been. We don’t know! That tongue is so infamous!”

The “Bangerz” star didn’t take the comments well. She went on Twitter and went after Perry’s on-again, off-again boyfriend John Mayer. “Girl if ur worried abt where tongues have been good thing ur ex boo is ur EX BOO cause we ALL know where THAT been.” The “Roar” singer responded diplomatically to Cryus’ diss. “Oooo gurrrl I’m gonna give you the BIGGEST spanking when I see you in the UK bb!” she tweeted. No one knows if these two are still sparring. Something tells us that Perry has bigger fish to fry – Taylor Swift, perhaps?
