2013 has been a great year for some celebrities! While some of the celebrities listed below disappeared from the scene in previous years, others had very publicly fallen off the rails. All of these stars, however, pulled it together and managed to rise again. We have a list of 10 celebs who have managed to make big comebacks, whether personally or professionally, in 2013. Check them out:

10. Demi Lovato

Singer and actress Demi Lovato, best known for her role in the hit show Camp Rock and for touring with the Jonas Brothers, checked into a treatment facility in the fall of 2010 to help her overcome her issues with bulimia, self-harm and drug use. Although Lovato struggled for a while, 2013 has been a particularly good year for her. Lovato is now a judge on The X-Factor for the second year in a row, her albums continue to do well on the charts and she is in the process of writing a tell-all-memoir.

9. Michael J. Fox

2013 has marked Michael J. Fox’s return to television with “The Michael J. Fox Show.” Fox has not been able to act as much as he would like in previous years because his Parkinson’s made it too difficult to continue. Entertainment Weekly has called “The Michael J. Fox Show” one of the best new shows of the 2013-2014 TV season and it was honored – along with five others – with the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Most Exciting New Series.

8. Tiger Woods

Back in 2009, Tiger Woods lost five sponsors, $50 million in annual income, his place atop the world golf rankings and his wife. In 2013, things seem to have turned around for Woods. He has enjoyed six tournament wins over the past 12 months and, according to Forbes, Woods was the third highest paid athlete of 2012 but managed to secure the number one position again this year.

7. Denise Richards

There were a number of years where Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller dragged Denise Richards’ name through the mud, but 2013 has done wonders for her image. This year, Richards took Sheen and Mueller’s twin boys, Max and Bob, into her home to raise them while Mueller enjoyed another stint at rehab. Even when she made the difficult choice to let the boys go back to their mother because she feared for her daughters’ safety, she still came off looking like a responsible, empathic mom. Good for you, Denise!

6. Isla Fisher

Isla Fisher has had a great year! After securing lead roles in films like “Definitely Maybe” (2008) and “Confessions of a Shopaholic” (2009), Fisher kind of fell off the radar. This year, however, she starred in the Baz Luhrmann adapation of “The Great Gatsby” with Leonardo DiCaprio and “Now You See Me” with Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson. She also had a part in the fourth season of “Arrested Development.” Hopefully 2014 is even better for Fisher!

3. Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera looks like a completely different woman! At the 2013 American Music Awards Red Carpet, she flaunted her svelte new figure. A year ago, at the 2012 American Music Awards, Aguilera showed off a much fuller figure and she received some harsh criticism for her weight. With her role on “The Voice,” Aguilera has become the unofficial face for celebrity weight loss. She has reportedly lost 49 pounds after gaining it following her divorce from Jordan Bratman in October 2010.
