Less then a month after it was discovered that actor Sean Hayes, 44, had been secretly engaged for quite awhile to his partner of eight years, Scott Icenogle, Hayes revealed he and Scott also got secretly married!
Hayes made his big announcement via his Facebook page on Thursday November 20 posting a “Throwback Thursday” photo. He posted a photo of the two smiling together along with the cheeky caption, “Here’s a #TBT photo of Scotty and me getting married last week. Took us 8 years but we did it!”
Hayes publicly came out in 2010 in an interview with The Advocate in which he alluded to his music composer and producer boyfriend, “I spend time with a special someone in my life. That’s it. That’s all I need…It’s fantastic.”
The Millers star sparked engagement rumors after he appeared on the CBS morning show, The Talk, wearing a very conspicuous ring on the appropriate finger.
As a result Hayes’ rep confirmed the engagement saying it had been a secret for some time, “Sean Hayes and Scott Icenogle have been together for eight years. They are not yet married, but they have been engaged for quite some time.”
Notoriously private, it isn’t surprising that Hayes did not make his engagement or consequent wedding public knowledge but from the photo it is obvious they are both really happy and look great in matching grey suits with solid blue ties and checked blue shirts.
