On today especially, Zelda Williams is paying tribute to her late father, Robin Williams. The late actor would have been 65-years-old today, but sadly passed away two years ago on August 11, 2014, after battling with severe depression.

To celebrate her father’s life, Zelda, 26, posted a heartfelt message to wish him a happy birthday. Zelda shared a black and white photo of her herself and her two brothers with their arms around their father. “Still not really sure what to do on days like today…I know I can’t give you a present anymore, but I guess that means I’ll just have to keep giving them in your name instead.”

This year, Zelda decided to honor her father’s memory by donating to social causes her father supported. “I tried to help three causes you cared about in one; rescue dogs, people suffering from disabilities, and our nation’s wounded veterans, so I donated to freedomservicedogs.org.” She added, “They rescue pups from shelters and train them so that they can be paired with someone in dire need of their help and companionship. Thought you’d get a kick out of furry, four legged friends helping change the world, one warrior in need at a time.”

Zelda ended her touching note by writing, “Happy birthday Poppo. Shasha, Zakky, Codeman and I all love you and miss you like crazy. Xo.”

Robin Williams passed away at the age of 63. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease less than a year before his death.
