Beloved Modern Family star Rico Rodriguez is in mourning following the passing of his father on Sunday, March 12. Rodriguez, 18, who is best known for his role as Manny Delgado on the hit family sitcom, took to his Instagram to share an emotional post after his father Roy’s passing.
“This has been the toughest week of my life. My Dad was the most kind-hearted, loving, hard working, determine, and funny man I have ever known. He was like a super hero, he had the ability to get the best out of you day in and day out. I’m gonna miss you hugs. I’m gonna miss your advice. I’m gonna miss your smile, and I’m gonna miss your laugh. I know you’re looking down at us right now giving us the green light to move forward. I miss you Daddy. I’ll love you forever-Your youngest,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself with his dad drinking milkshakes together.
There are no reports on how Roy Rodriguez passed away, only that it was “suddenly.” He is survived by his wife Diane and his four children: Rico, Raini, Roy Jr. and Ray.
