Heather Locklear Arrested For Domestic Violence And Assaulting Police Officer

On Sunday, February 25, former Melrose Place actress Heather Locklear was arrested in Thousand Oaks, California.

According to reports the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 10 p.m. Sunday night about a domestic disturbance at Locklear’s home. “Our deputies responded and contacted Heather Locklear at that residence,” a spokesperson said on Monday. “She was uncooperative with deputies and battered our deputies. We conducted an investigation into the original call of the domestic disturbance and determined she had bartered her boyfriend. She was arrested for felony domestic battery and three counts of misdemeanor battery on a peace officer. She claimed prior to our arrival that she had been battered or injured. Although we did not see any evidence of that, out of an abundance of caution, she was transported to a hospital for evaluation.”

Locklear was then booked at the stage around 1 a.m. and was released at 5:48 a.m. after she posted a $20,000 bail.

While no evidence of battery was seen on the 56-year-old actress, it was only hours later her reported boyfriend, Chris Heisser, was arrested for a DUI in Los Angeles and was taken into custody about two hours after Locklear was released.

Of course, this isn’t Locklear’s first run-in with the law after she was arrested back in 2008 for a DUI and while a blood test didn’t detect any alcohol or illegal narcotics, her impairment was caused by prescription medications that she took for her battles with anxiety and depression.

Over the course of her career, Locklear has also been in and out of different treatment and rehabilitation facilities and last January reports indicated she was seeking treatment for a fifth time, saying,  “I am feeling great and am taking steps to enrich and better my life. Currently I am working on tying up some loose ends regarding certain issues so I can hit 2017 full steam ahead.”
