Even though her mother, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is currently serving time is in prison, 14-year old Gia Giudice is staying positive as she explains in an interview with Access Hollywood how Teresa and the whole family is dealing while she is behind bars.
“She’s doing amazing. I knew it was coming and I mean like my sisters are okay. They like obviously miss her dearly, but they’re doing okay.”
Gia also said the whole process is a lot easier since they have constant communication with Teresa, “We can talk to her daily and we have access to emailing her whenever we want. It definitely helps with coping [and] with missing her. She always just said to me, ‘Stay strong for mommy,’ like, ‘You’ll see me soon.”
Since both Teresa and her husband Joe Giudice were convicted of fraud they are serving their prison sentences separately so that one can always be at home with their four daughters, Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5, and although Teresa was worried about Joe being the primary caregiver for 15 months, Gia says he is doing great.
“My dad has been amazing. He’s honestly the rock. He’s helping us so much.”
Gia is also relying on her best friends and bandmates for support, “I mean honestly, it’s amazing to have a support group, knowing that they’re going to be there for you no matter what.”
After Teresa’s release, Joe will begin his much longer 41-month sentence.
