Farrah Abraham, 23, is far removed from the person she was during her time on MTV’s show 16 & Pregnant, becoming a single mom to her soon to be six year old daughter Sophia.

After appearing on that hit reality series, Abraham – along with four other girls from the season – were chosen to star in a spin-off titled Teen Mom, following each of the four girls as they discover what parenting is like as a teenager.

Since then Abraham has released an album, written a book and most infamously become an adult film star – as well as creating her own line of adult erotic toys.

Due to her ventures in those areas and objections from her Teen Mom costars Catelynn Lowell, Maci Bookout and Amber Portwood she was not initially included in the upcoming season of Teen Mom. Unfortunatelyproducers ended up deciding she was needed.

“We had shot a couple of story lines and there is something about having that fourth story to counterbalance — there’s just a magic to four stories and four different points of view,” creator Lauren Dolgen told Us Weekly magazine.

Dolgen also stated that Abraham was not upset by initially being left out of the season and was happy to return, however the other moms did not feel the same way, “[They] know that she’s coming back and it did create a little bit of controversy that will play out in the series.”

Abraham also stated she is “excited to be back” and made the decision based on her daughter, not for herself. “I think it was important because I mean just weighing out the options and my future for my daughter. I think Teen Mom is important for the children and their futures. And I think it holds some good opportunities for Sophia and her future.”
