HGTV’s Property Brothers Jonathon Scott and Drew Scott are on their way to becoming household names. The identical twins are one of the HGTV’s biggest stars and their series Property Brothers is the highest rated show for the network as well as one of the most popular TV programs overall.
A large appeal of the show is the twin’s charisma and enthusiasm for helping others, and while they have become familiar faces of pop culture, the twins initially wanted to pursue acting, but ended up in the real estate business. Their role as reality stars and home flippers seems to combine both of their passions and has been quite the success so far.
When asked why he thinks the show became as popular as it did, Drew Scott admitted that there is a unique aspect that appeals to each demographic.”It’s safe programming,” he admitted to the New York Times. “The shows are not so goofy that guys don’t want to watch, kids want to watch because we’re goofy and women appreciate it because you’re getting real design knowledge.”
It seems that this series has opened many doors for the popular identical twins and they have made multiple guest appearances on shows including USA Network’s Playing House, Steve Harvey, Hell’s Kitchen, The Dr. Oz Show among many others and multiple talk-shows.
Drew is even set to appear on the 25th season of Dancing with the Stars which airs September 18 on ABC.
