She’ll be dancing with this star forever!
Longtime Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke and former Boy Meets World actor Matthew Lawrence are engaged which Burke shared with fans in a series of sweet Instagram posts.
The dancer took to her social media to share photos of her 34th birthday celebrations on Thursday, May 3 before sharing the photos after Lawrence, 38, had proposed. “OMG! So far so good for 34! #amilliontimesyes #imengaged#herecomesthebride,” she captioned the photos which show off her stunning ring.
Burke and Lawrence, who is best known for his roles as Chris Hillard in Mrs. Doubtfire, Jack Hunter in Boy Meets World, and Matt Roman in Brotherly Love, first met in 2006 when Lawrence’s brother, Joey Lawrence, was competing on the third season of Dancing With the Stars. The two officially began dating in early 2007, but called it quits only a year later but remained friends.
Nearly 10 years later, the pair reunited and once again began dating in 2017, and Burke opened up about how they both just needed to mature before they could give the relationship another chance. “When we first dated, we were both young and immature, and I was so new to this world,” she said of why the relationship didn’t work the first time around. “Now we are both adults and feel balanced.”
“He’s such a great guy. He’s so normal, considering we’re in this crazy business. It’s so nice to be able to come home to him and turn Netflix on and order Postmates. He’s someone I definitely do see spending the rest of my life with,” she added.
