Ahead of a new Teen Mom OG season, star Amber Portwood has some very exciting news to share!

After multiple outlets reported that the Teen Mom OG star was expecting her child, the reality star took to her social media to confirm the news. After retweeting news stories from Us Weekly and MTV, Portwood wrote, “Thank you everyone for all the kind words. I’m very excited for my future with Andrew and our little family we are starting together! Love.”

In an interview with Us Weekly, Portwood admitted she was “a little scared” when she first found out she was expecting with her new boyfriend Andrew Glennon, but added, “I just kind of sat down and thought about it and realized that it was a big step in my life and it was a good thing actually, and I was really happy within 30 minutes.”

As previously reported, Portwood has been dating Glennon for a few months after she met him while filming Marriage Boot Camp with her ex-fiance Matt Baier. While Portwood was starring on the show, Glennon was working behind the scenes as part of the crew, but they started off just as friends before exploring a romantic relationship. “We decided that we wanted to be friends at first because we were just having so much fun talking with each other, and, you know, then when he came out to hang out, we just had even more fun together, so that’s just kind of how it started,” she revealed.

Fans will remember that on the last season of Teen Mom OG, when Gary Shirley, the father of Amber’s daughter Leah, asked if Amber and Matt would be having kids anytime soon, she told him she couldn’t because of the medications she was on for her borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder. With the news of the pregnancy, Portwood revealed after her split with Matt she weaned herself off of the medications and then became pregnant. “I wanted to see if I was just unhappy because of the things that were going on in my life at the time with him, and I realized after weaning myself off that I actually am OK. It’s manageable as long as you have a healthy lifestyle and healthy people around you.”
