The 7 Worst Dressed Stars At The 2015 American Music Awards

The American Music Awards have been the host to some of the most amazing and most questionable red carpet looks out of all the Hollywood events over the years. Just as fans are excited to see who the big winners are and see their favorite stars perform at the show, they are also excited to see what the stars are going to wear because the fashion choices are just so unpredictable. At the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 22, unpredictable would be putting it lightly as many of the night’s attendees arrived in more than questionable red carpet choices. Even some of the usually best dressed stars disappointed with their fashion choices and, unfortunately, narrowing it down to 7 was difficult. Check out the worst dressed of the night.

7. Fifth Harmony

The stunning group of British singers were one hot mess on the red carpet when arriving for the event in L.A. Individuality is key, however, the looks of all five girls posing together were just not cohesive enough to look good. Each girl’s unique outfit seemed just a little off and perhaps a little too tight, making for an awkward red carpet stance.

6. Justin Bieber

The only good thing that can be said for Justin Bieber’s AMAs look was that it was better than the diasaster that was his MTV Video Music Awards look. Once again the singer failed to look like he knew he was attending a red carpet event, donning a white undershirt, ripped skinny jeans and an oversized Nirvana t-shirt. Needless to say, Nirvana fans are not happy about Bieber donning the band’s name.

5. Kylie Jenner

With her relationship with Tyga on the rocks, Kylie Jenner opted to walk the red carpet with her sister Kendall instead and, unfortunately, her look just did not live up to usual Kardashian/Jenner standards. The youngest Jenner stayed away from her usual heavy makeup, and long extensions, keeping it simple with a low ponytail, but her outfit was a disappointment with an awkward fake leather and chains ensemble that could not rival Kendall’s glamorous look.

4. Jennifer Lopez

As the host of the night, Jennifer Lopez went through quite an array of looks from beginning to end, and while some were hits, she started off on the wrong foot. The gorgeous singer donned an icy blue gown with just a few too many cut outs and a few too many strings holding it together. There is no doubt that the 46-year-old is stunning; however, for many events it seems she is trying too hard to remind us all of that by baring so much skin.

3. Harry Styles

Always marching to his own beat and own style, Harry Styles stuck out from his One Direction band mates but this time not in a good way. Louis, Liam and Niall all looked sharp and classy with different colored but very well tailored suits, and then there was Harry who opted for a black and white floral print suit drawing comparisons to grandma’s sofa and an old comforter. Just Harry being Harry.

2. Z LaLa

Singer Z LaLa seems to be under the impression that the best way to get known is to get noticed, and while it isn’t clear if her record sales have gone up, one thing is for sure, a lot more people are talking about her. For the AMAs she opted for a blue octopus dress, with the tentacles going from bottom to top, complete with an outrageous head piece.

1. Gwen Stefani

Last but not least was probably the biggest fashion disappointment of the night. Singer, designer and Voice coach Gwen Stefani usually dominates every red carpet event with her own edgy, signature yet killer style, but unfortunately the same cannot be said for her AMAs look. While her and makeup looked stunning, her Yousef Al-Jasmi outfit was bizarre. A sheer skirt, and voluminous top complete with sleeves looking quite close to bat wings made everyone do a double take and not in a good way.
