Fame10 Fashion Evolution: Amber Heard
Premiere of Pineapple Express – 2008
Amber Heard looked all kinds of glam at the premiere of “Pineapple Express.” She donned this black knee-length asymmetrical Georgio Armani dress with black peep-toe pumps and a big chunky bangle. She is definitely starting to dress the part of the stylish young starlet. She rocked this fabulous dress like it was nobody’s business.
2008 was a fairly productive year professionally for Heard. She had roles in two independent films, “The River Why” and “The Joneses.” Critics praised her performance in the latter. According to Variety, she actually gave a better performance than the film’s leading star, Demi Moore. She also had a supporting role in the comedy “Pineapple Express,” which turned out to be a box office success. Through this film she actually got the mainstream recognition that she was looking for. Film critic Richard Roeper praised Heard’s performance and she won the Breakthrough Award at the Hollywood Film Festival.
Premiere of Public Enemies – 2009
“The Joneses” star wore this tight little number to the premiere of “Public Enemies.” She styled it with a belt, some bangles and some black peep-toe pumps. She didn’t have a role in the film that was being premiered, so someone with some clout probably put her on the guest list. Johnny Depp was one of the big stars in the film and some think that he invited her. She reportedly brought her girlfriend at the time, photographer Tasya van Ree, as her date.
These two dated for a few years. Heard was her muse. “There was something about her that I couldn’t quite understand. It was beyond her physical beauty, she captured something inside of me artistically. We instantaneously formed a connection and the documenting then began. I think there is a degree of trust that anyone must have with you when you ‘intrude’ into their life with a lens,” van Ree told the Huffington Post.
