The braid is seriously making a comeback! Some celebrities have been all over this trend for years. From halo braids on top of their heads to fishtail braids at the side to little individual braids, some of the most fashionable celebrities in Hollywood have embraced this hairstyle and the many variations of it. Since we love braided hairstyles so much, we decided to make a list of our favorite celebrity braids. This was kind of tough given that some of these stars have rocked several braded hairstyles, all of them super chic. In spite of this, we have managed to narrow it done to 9 – enjoy!
9. Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens’ oversized ombre braid is super cute. According to her hairstylist, creating this hairstyle involved braiding, pinning and curling sections of the “High School Musical” star’s blond highlights. While we’ve seen this type of braid many times before, we really like what Hudgens has done here – it is so boho!

Amber Heard sported a single French braid at the side of her head at the Cannes Film Festival 2014. The rest of her hair was tousled with waves, making that tiny braid seem almost out of place.

Jennifer Aniston donned a delicate braid along her hairline for the 2009 Academy Awards. She usually sports the same hairstyle at every event that she attends, so we think it was pretty brave of her switch things up. We would have preferred something a little bolder though – this tiny braid is so subtle, if you’re not looking for it, you might miss it!

Scarlett Johansson’s halo braid looks beautiful. It is definitely not as messy as many of the other halo braids on our list. The Golden Globe-nominated actress decided to go for something that looked a bit more formal.

Nicole Richie has donned a number of different braided hairstyles over the years. This messy side braid is one of our favorites. It goes perfectly with the “Candidly Nicole” star’s bohemian ensemble.

We love the halo braid that Sienna Miller rocked at the Golden Globe Awards in 2007. We find it elegant, but bohemian – just like her! Miller was always a bit of a trendsetter. Before this, we didn’t see a lot of the halo braid.

At the premiere of “Red Eye,” Rachel McAdams looked lovely with her double braid updo. This is definitely one of our favorite hairstyles on the Canadian actress – she looks young and radiant.

Blake Lively has some of the best hair in Hollywood. One of our favorite hairstyles of hers was the one she rocked at the “Green Lantern” premiere. She went for a messy, but stylish look – a tousled ponytail and a trio of fishtailed braids. Coupled with her white Chanel frock, we think she looked divine.
