With September officially upon us, we can’t help but notice the slow transition celebrities have been making into fall color schemes and warmer pieces when it comes to their fashion. There is truly no better season to experiment with fashion than the fall, and the jump start we’ve seen Hollywood make these last few weeks before plunging full force into the season is definitely worthy of notice. To be as on trend and stylish as the celebrities this coming season, follow along below for 8 trends inspired by Hollywood’s most glamorous fashionistas:

8. Classic Plaid

Although classic plaid is by no means a new trend and is an obvious staple when it comes to fall fashion, we’ve noticed that celebrities have amped up this style and instead opted for a new twist on the timeless print. Sienna Miller does this well with this gingham-style, printed top! A button-up style top like this definitely gives us some major fall vibes and we could totally imagine this paired with a warm vest and tall boots for a chilly evening or afternoon autumn stroll.

7. Red

Red was the color of the season this summer and we have no doubts that this trend will transition flawlessly into fall as well. Red is bold, flattering and always turns heads. If you’re hesitant to take the plunge and go all out like Bella Hadid did with this red jumpsuit, we totally understand and would recommend starting small! Try a pop of red on your shoes, handbag or even nail polish.

6. Embroidery

Embroidery emerged as a huge trend this past year and we initially were hesitant as the floral stitching typically conjures up images of little girl clothing. The celebrities have embraced this trend and have actually made it look extremely chic both during the summer and the weeks leading up to fall. Lucy Hale’s embroidered top is the perfect example of this. The embroidery adds extra detail and a trendy flare to an otherwise quite simple top.

5. Duster Coats

Heidi Klum has clearly mastered the art of glamorous street style and we are obsessed with this burgundy duster coat she recently rocked. The duster coat is an effortless last minute piece to throw on top of a simple outfit to add an extra style factor and always looks glam and chic. The silk material and rich shade of Klum’s duster is definitely a show stopper and easy inspiration for fall fashion this season.

4. Metallic Details

Metallic detailing is yet another trend that isn’t going anywhere this summer! We love Bachelorette star Jojo Fletcher’s take on this trend with her metallic moto jacket for a twist on the typical black leather jacket. If you’re not looking to go as bold as this jacket, try metallic accessories or incorporate subtle metallic detailing into your look.

3. Patchwork Denim

A new pair of jeans is a classic back-to-school purchase and the current denim trend we’ve seen many celebrities rocking is this patchwork style pant that Gigi Hadid is wearing. This two-tone trend is ultra flattering and is an easy way to add extra visual interest and appeal to a look. Throw on a plain white tee or a grey tank like Gigi and you’re good to go — stylish, on trend and effortless!

1. Tall Boots

The arrival of fall also marks the arrival of all of our favorite knee-high boots and ankle booties! Kendall Jenner is definitely flawlessly falling into this trend by pairing high boots with a summery dress. Take a tip from Jenner and pair boots with flowy skirts and shorter hemlines to begin the transition into fall while still making the most of all your beloved summer dresses!
