Real Housewives’ 15 Biggest Feuds Ranked

Bravo

The Real Housewives has become a huge part of reality television as it’s gone from a single docu-series show to an entire media franchise with numerous shows on a national and international scale, as well as several spin offs. The premise of the show is to follow affluent women living in various regions around the world to document their lavish lifestyle, which often includes social gatherings, trips and, of course, lots and lots of drama! More often than not, the drama gets pretty heated and sometimes results in a pretty big blow out between cast members. Here’s a list ranking the 15 biggest fights in Real Housewives history!

15. Aviva Drescher versus Carole Radziwill

In season 6 of The Real Housewives of New York City, Aviva started off the season with some pretty wild accusations against her cast mate Carole Radziwill. She began to spread a rumor that Radziwill used a ghostwriter to write her bestselling memoir, What Remains. This feud wasn’t the craziest or most heated exchange between two Housewives, mostly because Radziwill isn’t the type to get involved in petty drama, but Aviva did her best to fight dirty as she tried to ruin Radziwill’s reputation. Her plan to make drama for the show didn’t work and just ended up reflecting badly on her. By the end of the season, she was on the outs with all her cast mates and didn’t return for season 7.

14.  Lisa Rinna versus Lisa Vanderpump

The friendship between Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump began to dissolve in season 6 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when Rinna claimed Vanderpump forced her to bring up the Munchausen rumor that ultimately lead to the women (mainly Rinna) wondering if Yolanda Foster was faking her Lyme disease. It’s not the first time LVP has been accused of being manipulative, but it’s hard to believe Rinna because she tends to say some crazy stuff! During the reunion, she pulled out phone records as proof and warned Kyle Richards that Vanderpump tried to bring her down in the whole thing as well.

13. Kelly Dodd versus Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge

When Kelly Dodd joined The Real Housewives of Orange County in season 11, she got off on the wrong foot with Shannon Beador, who wasn’t exactly open to accepting this new outspoken Housewife. When Dodd became close friends with Vicki Gunvalson, that sealed the deal that Beador wouldn’t be friends with her. Their epic feud started at Beador’s ’70s-themed bash when Dodd felt like she was being set up. Dodd screamed at Beador, “You’re so f–king ugly. No wonder your husband cheated on you!” By the end of the season, Dodd was also in a feud with Tamra Judge when she brought up Judge’s estranged relationship with her daughter.

12. Slade Smiley and Gretchen Rossi versus Vicki Gunvalson

The feud between Slade, Gretchen and Vicki had been going on for a long time, but it got really ugly during season 7 at a bunco party. Slade made a snide comment that Vicki looked like Miss Piggy and she absolutely lost it on him when she got up and screamed in his face that he was a “deadbeat dad.” Vicki and Gretchen never got along on The Real Housewives of Orange County, and Gunvalson never liked Slade Smiley because he’d dated several Housewives and had a bad reputation, according to Tamra and Vicki. So when Gretchen began dating Slade…it was bound to get ugly. They flung a lot of mud back and forth at each other, especially at reunions. Vicki and Gretchen seem to be on much better terms now and have even been spotted on each other’s social media.

11. Teresa Giudice versus Jacqueline Laurita

When The Real Housewives of New Jersey first started, Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice were best friends, but things started to fall apart at the end of season 3 when rumors began to surface about the Giudice’s legal troubles. The more Jacqueline asked her friend about it, the more Teresa backed away. The whole fight seemed strange because it could have been easily fixed, but there were rumors that it had to do with the women being jealous of each other’s endorsement deals and not some petty drama. These two have now been fighting for so long they don’t even know what they are fighting about. They’ve thrown so many insults back and forth that there’s no chance for a recovery. They tried to mend their fences in the latest season of RHONJ, but it proved to be impossible.

10. Bethenny Frankel versus Kelly Bensimon

Former model and socialite Kelly Bensimon was added to the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City in season 2 and right off the bat she bumped heads with Skinny Girl mogul, Bethenny Frankel. The two just couldn’t seem to get on the same page…or even the same book for that matter. We have to hand it to Frankel, she tried to smooth things over, but Kelly made it abundantly clear she didn’t think the two were on the same level. Things between the two cast members got really bad during a girls getaway in season 3 which has now been deemed “Scary Island” for obvious reasons. Bensimon was extremely hostile with Frankel and even thought her nemesis was out to kill her! The two had a huge blow out that ended with Frankel telling Bensimon to “go to sleeeeeep!”

9. Tamra Judge versus Gretchen Rossi

When Gretchen joined The Real Housewives of Orange County in season 4, she immediately became a target for the other women. It seemed like no matter how nice and bubbly she was, Tamra and Vicki weren’t going to welcome her with open arms. The long lasting feud started out with Tamra making snide comments behind Gretchen’s back, butit quickly escalated into a more volatile exchange as Tamra began questioning Gretchen’s relationship with Jeff and accusing her of infidelity. When Gretchen started dating Slade Smiley, things went from bad to worse. There were more than one screaming matches between these two ladies, especially at the reunions and the feud still continues to this day.

8. Bethenny Frankel versus Jill Zarin

When Real Housewives of New York City besties, Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel, started feuding in season 3 it was pretty sad. The two seemed to have a real genuine friendship and it was falling apart for reasons that would have never existed if it weren’t for the show. For a while it was unclear what exactly these two were fighting about — it seemed to come out of nowhere, but eventually Bethenny revealed that Jill was jealous of her newfound success which included her Skinny Girl empire and a new spin-off show. Things got so bad between these two that producers felt the show was becoming “too dark” and were forced to shake up almost the entire cast in season 4.

7. Lisa Rinna versus Kim Richards

Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was the beginning of a long standing feud between Lisa Rinna and Kim Richards. The whole fight started when Rinna tried to address that Richards was showing signs of slipping back into her addiction. Richards did not like the fact that Rinna kept bringing up her alcoholism — it’s become a topic of conversation that is known to be off limits for the Richards sisters. Tensions arose between the two women throughout the season, but got much worse during a trip to Amsterdam when Richards tried to imply that Rinna’s husband, Harry Hamlin, “did something,” to which Rinna got extremely defensive. She stood up, smashed a wine glass and screamed, “Never go after my husband!” Their feud continued for the next two seasons as Rinna continued to question Kim’s sobriety, but has recently been squashed…for now.

6. Bethenny Frankel versus Luann de Lesseps

Bethenny Frankel and Luann de Lesseps were never close friends on The Real Housewives of New York City, but they know each other quite well from running in the same Manhattan social circle and starring on the show together for the past 8 years. Their relationship turned especially sour in season 8 at Dorinda’s house in the Berkshires when Lesseps joked that she helped Frankel come up with the name Skinnygirl. Frankel already disliked Luann for her behavior in previous seasons and used this opportunity to lash out on her for all her hypocritical behavior from when she used to preach etiquette to all the ladies, which is a far cry from who she is now. Later in the season, Frankel confronted Lesseps with pictures of her fiancé at the time, Tom D’Agostino, kissing another woman!

5. Teresa Giudice versus Danielle Staub

The showdown that occurred between these two Real Housewives of New Jersey has followed Teresa Giudice throughout her entire time on the show. She will forever be the Housewife who lost her cool and flipped a table! This fight was one of the first big blowouts in Real Housewives’ history and as been credited as when the whole series took a turn from being about friendships and women’s success to drama and cat fights. The whole thing started when the women began to learn about Danielle Staub’s dark past and confronted her about it at a dinner party. Teresa threw a slew of insults at Staub calling her a “prostitution whore” before she finally flipped the table on her. This was the first of many terrible exchanges between the two. Today, the two seem to have mended fences, but at one point in time, they couldn’t even be in the same room together!

4. Kim Zolciak versus Sheree Whitfield

This might not have been the most epic and long standing feud between two Housewives, but it got pretty physical which makes it one of the higher ranking fights on the show. The women on The Real Housewives of Atlanta aren’t afraid to throw out insults or apparently, pull off wigs? Sheree Whitfield and former Housewife, Kim Zolciak  got into a he-said-she-said spat on the street outside a restaurant in season 2, in an episode now titled “Unbeweavable.” The fight ended with Whitfied grabbing Zolciak’s hair as she pulled her beloved wig off her head! It seems the two have put their beef in the past as Zolciak made a guest appearance on season 9 when she showed up at Whitfield’s housewarming party and the two women were cordial.

3. Kyle Richards versus Kim Richards

No amount of drama or “pantygates” on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will ever amount to what happened between sisters, Kim and Kyle Richards. The two child stars joined the show on seemingly good terms, but it quickly became clear something was off between these two. There were some deep rooted issues coming to the surface and it all came to a head in the finale episode of season 1. Both girls aired some pretty serious dirty laundry in front of the cameras and no one, not even their cast mates or the production crew, expected it. The whole thing went down inside a limo when Kim accused Kyle of stealing their deceased mother’s house. Kyle asserted she didn’t steal it, but rather bought Kim out and then went on to reveal that Kim was an alcoholic! Kim’s struggle with sobriety became a popular storyline on the show once it was out in the open, but until that point Kim was still keeping it a secret.

2. Teresa and Joe Giudice versus Joe and Melissa Gorga

Teresa’s cousin and sister-in-law joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey in season 3 and right from the get-go at Joey’s christening a rift is revealed between the two families when a brawl erupts. The feud between these two wasn’t an act for the cameras — it ran deep and lasted a long time, so long that it almost got frustrating to watch. It ruined friendships, caused a lot of tears and even got physical on more than one occasion — remember when Joe Gorga called his sister “scum” so Joe Giudice tackled him to the floor during a fight? These two grown men were rolling around on the floor and had to be broken up by two bodyguards! This was one of many, many screaming matches and below-the-belt fights between the two families. Thankfully, they’ve managed to put it all behind them, especially now that the Giudice family is faced with jail time.

1. Porsha Williams versus Kenya Moore

It’s not surprising that the unforgettable showdown between Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore lands in the number one spot on this list. Not only did these two battle it out viciously with a slew of insults and accusations towards each other, but then things got physical and it was pretty scary. It all happened during the season 6 reunion of The Real Housewives of Atlanta when Kenya accused Prosha of cheating on her ex-husband and called her a “dumb ho.” Porsha stood up, grabbed Kenya by the hair, pulled her to the ground and dragged her across the stage. It was pretty unsettling to watch and Porsha was later charged with assault. She was demoted the following season, but has since reclaimed her spot on the show.
