The Real Housewives franchise is all about drama, drama and more drama! No doubt, there’s never any shortage of it to go around, especially when the ladies all get together and travel. These lavish trips around the world look like a lot of fun, but often result in some of the craziest, most entertaining and dramatic episodes of the entire season! Here’s a look back at 12 of the most dramatic Real Housewives trips of all time!

12. Anguilla – RHOA

The Real Housewives of Atlanta traveled to Anguilla in season 5 so Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey could renew their wedding vows. This trip will always be remembered as the trip where Kenya Moore deemed herself “gone with the wind fabulous” and Phaedra Parks took her beach style to a whole new level when she wore a mesh thong bikini. Things got heated really fast when Moore was accused of getting a little too close to Apollo Nida in the pool.

11. St. Barts – RHONY

The trip to St. Barts in season 5 of The Real Housewives of New York City had a lot of drama. First there was a huge spat between Aviva Drescher, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan when Drescher planned a double date with Carole and her boyfriend on what was supposed to be a girls’ trip. The women began fighting which led to Singer screaming at Drescher: “Calm down! Take a Xanax,” and Drescher calling the women “white trash.” Unfortunately, her mean comments didn’t have the effect she wanted on Singer and Morgan who didn’t seem to understand what the term “white trash” even meant. But the bickering continued throughout their entire trip. Later on in the trip LuAnn came under fire when she brought a man back to the house.

10. Morocco – RHONY

The ladies of New York City traveled all the way to Morocco in season 4 and spent the majority of their time fighting, aside from enjoying a few camel rides and visiting some fortune tellers. Ramona got into a huge spat with Jill Zarin which left her locked up in her room all day. When Alex McCord tried to come to her rescue and go to battle for her, the ladies ended up ganging up on McCord! She stormed into LuAnn’s room with the intention of telling her off for “reprimanding Ramona,” but her entrance was all fumbled and awkward. McCord couldn’t seem to gather her thoughts and the women ended up shutting her down before she could even get the words out.

9. The Berkshires – RHONY

There were a few separate feuds going on during this trip starting with Ramona being incredibly rude to Heather Thomson who was hosting the girls at her home in the Berkshires. Singer complained about EVERYTHING. That wasn’t the worst of it. The most drama happened between Singer and Kristen Taekman. While out canoeing, Singer got mad at Taekman for splashing her and in a fit of fury she threw her wine glass at her face…and then her oar at her head. She then proceeded to blame it all on Taekman for making her mad…oh Ramona. To top it all off, she secretly arranged a plane to come pick her up and ditched the rest of the ladies on the trip.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is never shy when it comes to drama. There are a lot of longstanding feuds between cast members on this show. One of the biggest and most volatile is between Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Guidice. The two women were forced to film together once again when Laurita returned to the show in season 7 after a brief hiatus. They seemed to patch things up for a hot second until the women traveled to Vermont together and Teresa’s friend, Robyn, got into an argument with Laurita. When Teresa didn’t side with Laurita and instead took her new friend Robyn’s side, Laurita lost her cool and exploded on the women. She accused Melissa of having numerous nose jobs and called Teresa a criminal. This friendship is beyond repair!

7. Beavercreek, Colorado – RHOBH

The trip to Beavercreek, Colorado, in season 2 to Camille’s six-bedroom mountain home was supposed to be relaxing, but instead ended up being extremely emotional and worrisome. The ladies of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills watched Taylor Armstrong have multiple breakdowns while talking about her marriage to her now-deceased ex-husband, Russell Armstrong.

6. Bali, Indonesia – RHOC

There was a huge build up to this trip in season 9 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The ladies traveled to Bali, Indonesia, and seemingly ganged up on Tamra Judge. This was an odd sight to see because Tamra is arguably one of the strongest personalities on the show and she usually does the “bullying” if there’s any to be done, but Lizzie Rovsek proved she could easily go toe-to-toe with the veteran Housewife when she called her “crap” and the “most insecure woman I’ve ever met in my entire life.” The whole debacle resulted in a lot of tears and Tamera getting up from the table and running away in the most dramatic fashion ever as she screamed, “You will never see my face again. F–k you guys!”

The ladies’ trip to Turks and Caicos will forever be remembered by LuAnn’s now signature phrase “don’t be all uncool.” This trip was so eventful it was given four full episodes! There was constant bickering between the ladies whether it was Heather Thomson accusing Bethenny Frankel of being a “know it all” or Sonja cementing that all the women were jealous of her. The biggest argument came about when Thomson and Carole Radziwill had a near-death experience when they found a strange man in the bedroom beside them the next morning. It seemed to bother Thomson the most, who stormed into LuAnn’s room to confront her, which then started a whole new argument of whether or not Thomson was trying to catch LuAnn in bed with a man on camera.

The cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta traveled to Cape Town, South Africa, for a 10-day trip in season 4. The trip was pretty exciting, definitely one of the most exciting trips for the women of Atlanta, but it stirred up quite a bit of controversy when Sheree Whitfield made the comment that she couldn’t picture Kim Zolciak “holding a black baby” even though Zolciak wasn’t even on the trip. In another dispute it quickly became the “talls” vs. “smalls,” when Sheree invited only some of the women for dinner. NeNe’s friend Marlo confronted Sheree about not being invited and all hell broke loose!

For a long time the Real Housewives of New Jersey was all fighting, all the time. Teresa Giudice and her brother, Joe Gorga couldn’t seem to forgive and forget which made Teresa’s relationship with her sister-in-law, Melissa, even worse. Their trip to Lake George was supposed to be a retreat to mend their broken relationship, but before things got better they got worse. When Joe Gorga called his sister “scum,” Teresa’s husband, Joe Guidice, tackled him to the floor and the two began to brawl.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills trip to Amsterdam back in season 5 was one of the most dramatic trips of all time. Their trip took a dark turn during dinner one night when Kim Richards finally reached her breaking point with Lisa Rinna, who kept bringing up her sobriety. Richards defense was to point the finger at Rinna’s huband, Harry Hamlin, and insinuate he had “done something.” This prompted Rinna to stand up angrily from the table, smash a wine glass and threaten Kim. The whole thing was really intense and left all the women shaken to their core. Later on in the trip, Brandi Glanville slapped Lisa Vanderpump in the face! That trip was loaded with drama.

When the cast of RHONY traveled to the Virgin Islands together there was a lot of tension, especially between Kelly Bensimon and Bethenny Frankel who feuded the entire trip. Things came to a head one night when Kelly started acting erratically, and even accused Frankel of trying to kill her! Eventually Frankel had reached the end of her fuse and ended up screaming at Bensimon to “go to sleep.” Afterwards the other women said, all differences aside, they were legitimately concerned for the well being of Kelly during that trip.
